Poor guy, he will turn off his account. Oh well, suck it up princess.

I sent one, although was polite and offered options, none of which included large objects shoved through pieces of anatomy.

he reminds me of the bike shop guy from "diff'rent strokes" that showed Arnold a porn cartoon, and tried to child molest Arnold's friend Dudley in his basement.

              To play devil's advocate...

If I'm the Teachers, I would prevent any GM and/or coach from signing right now too, if I am going to be selling the franchise in the very near future.

There are 3 reasons for the Teachers to do this:

              1) not having a GM/coach under contract means less money owed and therefore a slightly more liquid asset (although when you're selling for over $1B, it's really pennies)

              2) a new owner would be much happier to come in and choose their own GM and then coach, rather than inheriting the old ones

              3) the timing may be bad for the Raptors but with both the Raptors & Leafs seasons just having ended, it's the perfect time to put their share of MLSE up for sale, to ensure the new owner has time to buy the team and settle in before the start of the next NBA & NHL seasons (and before the start of the NBA CBA negotiating)

I know many fans who stopped watching Raptors and going to the games. I know many fans who are fed up with BC and his lack of direction and risky moves. I know many fans are sick of BC's excuses and lack of progress over the last 5 years.

And I know many fans who rather the organization save some money, does the draft and see where the lock out goes and then spend money on the GM.

I for one, don't want to award BC few millions to sit on his bud during the lock out in Italy and enjoy a Martini after the Shitty Job that he did in the last 5 years in Toronto.

What is "many fans" to you? Hundreds? Thousands?

This doesnt seem to be the sentiment on this forum.

The above is a small sample but there was another front page poll not too long ago which I cant get my hands on which (if memory serves right) was a 65:35 split. A moderator can confirm this possibly.

I was just thinking we need a good Colangelo Poll. Can we still vote on that one Apollo?
And I remember the one on the main page being like 70-30 at one point.

Those are all good points from an accounting, personal preference, and timing point of view. It sucks for fans and it sucks for the negative image it is creating throughout the league.

I only hope Tanenbaum finds a way to take advantage of his right of first purchase.

It only sucks for fans who think this is bad idea or think keeping BC is a good move.

I'd wager this has little to 0 image impact around the league. Even if it does, the 22-60 record the Raps just dropped this year has a much larger impact on the teams image. I'd also wager the worst D in the league (2 years running) also has a much larger impact on this teams/organizations image.

I also think you are putting way to much importance on players even caring who the GM or owner of a team is.

Finally, some sense around here (not that this have anything to do with the fact that I'm a teacher). It's like putting your home in the real estate market and failed to get rid of the ugly lime green carpeting in your living room, or repaint the house for that matter. Yes, I've compared BC and Jay to ugly, lime green carpeting. Guilty as charged.
