  • Amir Went Under the Knife Today

Should be ready in time for camp though.

Raptors forward Amir Johnson had surgery on his left ankle Friday, and the team said he should be ready for training camp for next season.

Johnson missed nine games, including the final five of the year with the injury. Dr. Robert Anderson performed the procedure in North Carolina. He will do his rehabilitation in Los Angeles.

Johnson started 54 games for the Raptors this season, averaging just under 10 points per game and more than six rebounds for the Raptors this season, while logging more than 25 minutes a game - all career highs.

He also shot nearly 57 per cent from the field, and led the team with 88 blocks on the season.
