All things EuroBasket can go in this thread. Between Bargnani, JV, and Calderon and likely the only competitive basketball for quite some time, it should garner quite a bit of discussion.

ab7 - I changed the thread title, no offense.

        EuroBasket 2011

I haven't really posted on the site for awhile, but after searching I didn't find any thread on the tournament. Updates, results and stats on Raptors players in the tournament can be put here

The Raptors who are currently on a roster in the tournament are:

Bargnani (Italy), Calderon (Spain) and Valanciunas (Lithuania)

Spain won their first game against Poland (83-78). You can find the game report here.

Calderon started ahead of Ricky Rubio, and played just 12 minutes because of foul trouble (5 fouls). He finished the game with no points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and no turnovers.

Italy lost their first game to Serbia (80-68). Although Italy did comeback from an 18 point deficit. The game report can be found here.

Bargnani played well, but was pretty much alone on the Italy squad, with Gallinari disappearing in the second half. Bargnani finished with 22 points, 9 rebounds, a steal and 2 blocks.

Since I didn't see the game, I have no idea how active he was or how good his team defense was, so it's impossible for me to judge whether I can live with it based solely on basic stats, especially against a non-NBA team.

Anyone look at Calderon's box score? 12 minutes, 0 points, 2 assists, 4 rebounds, fouled out.

Yes, I saw it. Isn't it amazing, he had a per48 of 16 rebounds!
