Paul is going to look for a situation to win now and for a few years. The Celtics don't meet that long term with out wholesale changes. My money would be on Paul looking at The Clippers or Knicks. Would be interesting if a Westbrook for Paul swap woulod work as that would make OKC much better.

A lot of salary coming off the books in Boston in the next few years. They could continue to be big players in the free agent market in the future. That makes winning for a few years quite possible.

Celtics are only going to move Rondo if they can get a upgrade to put them over the top for a serious run. Otherwise there's absolutely no reason to trade him. He's still young, talented and one of the only players who's contract has him there next season. Raps don't have anyone that'd be an upgrade.

I agree. Rondo is not on the block. He was only mentioned because the Celtics were trying to lure Paul over. I'd swap Rondo for Paul any day of the week.

However Paul said that he wouldn't resign with the Celtics, so that takes Rondo off the market.

other than outside shooting rondo is just what we need.. hes a lock down defender, can dish out the dimes as good as anyone, plays really hard(even with one arm) he might have played with a few future hall of famers but on a lot of nights he made those guys look good aswell..he was near the top of the league in a few categorys for PG's

im not so sure he matchs well with demar since neither is a good outside shooter but rondo wold be nice.. if we get some outside scoring around him

There is no way we are getting Rondo, but if we did, we are still not gonna make the playoff consider Rondo is good with Garnett, Pierce, and Allen, we don't have that kind of arsenal on our team, might as well stick with Caldy!
