Worth noting: Ross is averaging 16 ppg per 36 minutes played this year.

Yeah it really sucks that the last years raptors didnt have the lowest winning percentage in nba history to get the 2nd seed and MKG. I'm a fan of Kemba but Valancuis IMO has more franchise talent potential than him
I never said it sucks we didn't draft him, or that we should of tanked more or anything of that sort. I merely complimented him as a player. I am obviously very glad the Raptors did not do as bad as Charlotte.

As i said I am fond of Val, and happy with the pick, but I don't think we can tell who will have a better career or be a better franchise player just yet. I still see Walker improving even more, and potentially scoring 25+ points a game. If the bobcats get another solid lottery pick, they will have a great young core, and will be very exciting to watch in the future.

I do like Valancuis, didnt really look much into him proir to us drafting him, and dont mind the pick now, but am still high on kemba and MKG.

Kemba looks like he has a bit of Iverson in him, killer on offense
MKG is a perfect glue guy, seems similiar to Marion but can score a bit more.

Imagine a 1-2-3 of Kemba, DD, and MKG?
Dam that looks good to me.

JV is better than Kemba. I really don't care for him much. Ben Gordon prt 2?

Ross has gotten enough burn to rate yet IMO

i love mkg. raptors fan first and bummed about the loss but happy he is succeeding. his averages this season are great. fantastic kid.

i like jv/ross over drummond/knight. but drummond could end up being the best of them by far. i think they have him playing the 4 where he will just bully people for the next 10 years.

From tonights past match up, I think Charlotte has the superior talent in their draft picks. Kemba and MKG have been fluid.

Even with all the pressure, tight whistles and lack of PT, JV has been solid. Ross might've got drafted to the wrong team.

I really like Ross alot. I think he's got tremendous upside. He's very smooth, very athletic, great shooter, and he can handle the ball. JV on the other hand i think has all-star potential.

Raps need to build around those 2 along w/ DD and Lowry.

The whole league is going small ball, yet we refuse to try 6'7 DeRozan at SF? Ross is clearly a talented guy, why not start him at 2, then we can rotate Calderon and McGuire behind the 3 starters for now until Fields gets back.
Dom can adequately play the 3. He's not a 3/4 tweener, like Kleiza. All the other wings who can step into the 2 or 3 wouldn't usurp Dom unless it's a mentally and physically healthy Fields. My guess is Casey balancing the line ups with Dom to add more D to the starters and having Ross play capable reserve minutes where he can get more touches.

Taylor played good "defence", and by that I mean hacking DeRozan and fouling Bargnani with no calls.

Ross and JV are looking like big time players. Ross plays like a vet, very under control and he can do everything. Defend, rebound, shoot and handle the rock. Very good pick imo

If we're moving on from today's game already, here's the next 2011/2012 draft pick match up:

Jonas + Ross vs. Knight + Drummond

    Discuss!

Really wonder what does on in Casey's head with his line ups and subs/rotations. Dom has been holding his own, more so than Fields or Kleiza.

You're right forgot about the since Mullens and Hayward have been taking his PT. Biyombo was a slight spark.

I think JV has the higher potential over all the 2011 and 2012 picks that played tonight, with Ross still needing time to prove himself. Looks like Kemba and MKG are getting time to realize their potential. JV and Ross given more rope tonight, but still struggling defensively and sometimes offensively against their competition.
