Watching 2 years of "garbage ball" is a walk in the park compared to 17 years....

I'm just done with Bargnani now. Actually the entire organization is pissing me off. In the off season and after last season ended everyone is like "playoffs, playoffs!" and now we start off 3 -10 with no chance at making the playoffs. I watch 2 years of garbage ball for this? might as well continue watching for the next 2 hoping they get something done(which they probably won't)

Why does every big man fall for JVs fake?

I always scratch my head at that LOL!
Maybe they confuse him with bargnani... until he drives past them for a 2 handed stuff and they see "Valanciunas" on the back of his jersey.

Bargs is not clutch, hes needs to work on post moves with Hakeem next summer or something lol. He does this televised ass pump fake move all the time, hes rubbing it off on JV, but JV does it with more ferocity.
lmao, people here have really no idea what they're talking about. Bargnani's "televised ass"(??) pump fake is probably his best move, and it is nasty. To say JV has a better pump fake than Bargnani is blind hate and above all else dumb.

But in typical Raps fashion they always stay away from the hot guy down the stretch.
I don't think that the Raps want stay away from the hot guy down the stretch, but the other team makes an adjustment in the fourth and tighten up on D (like any good team should).

A true superstar star can still score (or find the open man) when the D adjusts.
The Raps just aren't good enough to adjust and still score.
They don't have a second or third option when that "hot guy" is being smothered. And then they are forced to scrabble, start to get sloppy and turnover the ball, and the other team steals the momentum.

Lowry has been better at being that "star" that can still produce when the other team adjusts, but no one else on the Raps can.
Bargs? Derozen? they have been mainly "one trick ponies" and thats why they seem to disappear in the fourth.

bargnani is always really lazy with his rotations, and thats the part of his defense that irritates me the most, as the play occurs behind Bargs' back. This game he was more involved, and i could see him be aware on defense. He did still miss a number of rotations, granted it was an improvement.

Bargs had his jumper going today but his D was horrible. Not saying that is the reason we lost, but as much as he contributed to the win with offence he also contributed to the loss with poor D. Not sure if anyone else noticed the stretch in the game when Detroit was drawing JV out from the low to the high post by switching Monroe onto him. That was done intentionally so Bargs is left to guard the paint on his own and they took advantage of it with Drummond getting easy points.

Teams are intentionally drawing the good post defender away from the basket in order to take advantage of Bargs' weak D.
Was this in the first half? Because in the second half Andrea was checking Monroe and it was JV who was getting abused by Drummond on the glass. By the way Andrea at this point is a much better post defender then JV it's not even close. Team defender JV is more active with his help D but 1 on 1 post defending your out to lunch if you think Dre is the weaker of the two. Last night the game was lost by Lowrys poor decisions/shot selection, Demar not showing up, the 3 spot contributing anything and the PG's/Casey not getting Dre the ball more. Bottom line him and 10 minutes of Ed Davis were the ONLY reason they had a chance.

Bargs was definitely not the reason we lost. You have to be blind to be blame him for this loss.
    Agreed.

Problem with the Raptors is that they need more killer instinct guys on the squad, too many passive guys. K-Low is the only guy with definite killer instincts, DeMar is showing potential but if gets a clutch 3 point shot going he will be fine.

After losing to beatable teams like Charlotte and Detroit, I won't be surprised if they beat San Antonio.

bargs is a big tower at times a tough cover for some teams, but the league doesnt play big nomore. 75% doesnt play big in crucial situations in games. and the 25% teams that got the bigs down the stretch of the games got bigs named duncan, ibaka, aldridge, HOWARD, BYNUM, GASOL(MARC), hibbert, lopez and LOVEEEE
so whats the point of a barg that defends once in a blue moon!! put this detroit game in the showcase and ship his ass out!!!
(notice how all those bigs' team are playoff bound or perennial playoff teams.)
