Wow...this is so much better than my thread...

I think optimism is great but reality came and bit me in the ass early this season. Your theory is great and all but we had a crappy record last season and Bargnani was injured most of the time, and we did not have Lowry either.

If we continue to play solid defense I'll be over the moon happy. Playoffs though? That's not going to happen.

          Playoffs?

It's not even the notion that we'd have a shot at the playoffs, but rather the assumption that we're actually a top 8 team, and that our roster can be magically fixed to ensure such an outcome....Why stop at Ilyasova and Anderson? We could also get Eric Bledsoe, Paul George, Rudy Gay, and trade Bargs for Kevin Love, since he doesn't like Minnesota.
Also, which good teams have we faced and won? No wins against contenders. In this current stretch, BKL is struggling right now. Dallas has been inconsistent all year. Houston is just a high scoring team, but they have a lot of issues too. We've had a tough schedule, and been competitive, but that does not translate into more wins with an easier schedule. We have also lost to bad teams.

Gentlemen.... It's a TWO game winning streak. They're 6-19. Please stop.

In agreement. We built too big a hole to overcome.

Even before the gawd awful start, we were a long shot to make the playoffs. I. Don't think that it will happen, but I don't think it needs to happen for it to be a successful season. Just compete at as high a level as possible. Continue the rebuild as we all expect, slow, methodical, deliberate, and hopefully sustained. If this is a rebuild, all we should expect is to improve over last years record. That's it. These goals are still very much attainable.
                    Welp, that sucked.

6-19 but I'll admit with how the team played the last 3 games things are certainly looking better, Jim Mora is still right though no playoffs this season. My advice just sit back and enjoy your home team develop their youth.

Though you know anything can happen. I mean Lin happened after all lol.
