Bruno was at it again with the 905 tonight, and once again destroyed the competition en route to a 905 win.

    27 pts, 11 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 3 blk, 9-14 FG, 3-7 3PT, 6-9 FT

Bruno is coming on really strong to end the season, looks so much better than when he started the year, 905 paying off big time!
Its fun to think about how good are second unit is gonna be next season.

    PG:Cory Joe
    SG:Norman Power
    SF:TJ Ross
    PF:Bruno Caboclo
    C:Lucas Nogueira

I'm not sure that's a really good unit, but it sure would be a really entertaining unit.

That won't be the 2nd unit next year... If it is, we're fighting for 7/8 playoff spot.

Might be a good 3rd unit, but would probably not all play together.

Not really, other than take out caboclo and insert 2pat or some other quality big. That's hopefully what it is cause tross helped us trade for an all star

Oh I agree with you that he will probably get some minutes but he needs to get stronger, quicker and make better decisions when he is on the floor first.

As for Patterson, if he gets to start next season it can only mean that summer 2016 was a big fail in attracting a starting calibre PF or trading for one ( unless we sign KD but then I am dreaming lol).

Starting caliber PF could be the Knuggets pick. Pretty good chance we take a PF there based on guys projected to go in that range. Might need to start Patterson for a season though and bring the rookie off the bench.

I doubt that there is a PF in that range that can step right away and play big minutes next season for a club that should be looking to get to the NBA finals as a goal. That can only come through free agency or trade.

Hence letting Patterson start for a season. We have the MLE in free agency and that's it, so you're not getting anyone better than Patterson or the draft pick. Not to mention, why would you want to put a roadblock in front of the draft pick from taking over the starting role?

                              • It is yet to be determined how free agency will unfold, you are already assuming today that the Raptors will sign DD for the max and that's that ( even though the chance of signing Horford & Batum might present itself, one has to look whether this will make the team better overall pending how this year playoffs go & what overall impact did DD have there)

Also since we do have the 905, I dont see how having a player spend sometime there to hone his skills is considered a roadblock?! Thats how Norman Powell did it and he wasnt good enough to be there straight out of college. Also Patterson is a free agent come summer of 2017, so it would be a good time for the draft pick to fight with Bruno for backup PF duties by 2017-2018 season cause nothing is guarantee that either would be good enough.
