So you really think Demar is the problem? I can name 4 other starters and the rest of the bench that were bigger issues than Demar. Kindly remember that Demar received player of the month honours in March (this after missing a month and a half due to injuries). Demar is not the problem. It's pretty sad that he has to shoulder most of the blame from many fans. I predict that he will come back better next year, but you already knew that didn't you?

Demar needs more talent built around him.

Isn't it obvious he can't do it on his own?? Why are fans acting like he's already paid like a max player? If Demar is the best player on the team at 9.5 mil, we won't go anywhere. Blame mr. 12 mil / voted in all-star before blaming Demar. This past season's disappointment is not on Demar....We were leading the east before he went down. Who stepped up while he was out 1.5 months?? Only Lowry and I don't think that was really a good thing because it got to his head.

I agree that there's many problems on this team.

I agree that he could definitely be 3rd option on a real contender. Maybe even a 2nd option if the #1 is good enough.

We don't have to build around Demar. We need to get better players at the other positions. Simple. Worry about what option Demar will be later. Dare I even say trade him if he doesn't fit?

Side note: I think he will fit with better players. Team USA and all-star status last year proves it, to me.

Guys, the reason you trade Demar if you don't build around him is that he is an UFA next summer. He's either walking or demanding a raise such that he needs to be built around. You can thank your vaunted all-star selection and Team USA membership for that. Thankfully those are also the reasons his trade value is probably still quite high. Again, another reason to trade him - he might be our best shot at acquiring a top talent via a high pick or otherwise.

How easy will it be for DD to accept a 15M deal if he has three 20M a year offers on the table? I'd like to believe he re-signs at a nice number but the history of free agency suggests that only happens when a player is past their prime - DD will be mid-prime, and the contract he signs will be the biggest he ever gets.

MU no more passes. It's time to lay out your rationale for retaining DC. If you truly believe he is a good NBA coach God help us --you clearly are not as most of us hope you are. To me this signals a tank. DC has shown time and time again the inability to adjust . Other teams' scouting reports re his use of JV are true. DC is a stubborn old school coach who fails to hold all players to account. Some of the issues in the locker room were clearly related to his treatment of DD and KL vs the rest of the roster. His use of JJ and TR was deplorable MU you resigned and are know retaining DC and thus you must take responsibility for these actions.
