I don't get a lot of Raptor fans.

This team is awesome, apparently, and should be kept together....yet they don't have the talent to truly contend and is the excuse for the coach's and team's shortcomings.

I believe this to be a driving source of conflict among many raptor fans on these forums. On the topic of should this team be kept together there are many who say "YES!" yet they can't identify how the team is going to add better talent to improve upon consecutive first round exits. Then when it comes to criticism of the team performance it is, "But we don't have an All-NBA calibre talent!!"

So which is it?

Or can those people just admit they are happy to make the playoffs and anything more is a bonus? Because, seriously, that is cool too and it would solve a lot of endless debate if that was just freely admitted.

Sure, but a guy with James Harden and Dwight Howard didn't make it. Another guy with Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Deandre Jordan didn't make it. The guy coaching Anthony Davis didn't make it. Lots of teams with great talent out west, Kerrs run with GSW has been pretty damn amazing for a rookie head coach. Now Blatt in Cleveland I'm not impressed, due to being in the East and the fact Lebron seems more of the coach than Blatt does.

What the hell is your problem the last few days? If you were any more condescending you could pass yourself off as a Wall Street banking lawyer.

Draft picks and prospects are tangible assets, not magic beans. And that is worst case return on trade.

And there still hasn't been a single post on this forum that provides a way to add talent above KL/DD/JV without trading at least one of them away. So yeah, either these people are cool with just making the first round or they don't know what to do.
