I wouldn't want to be in MU's shoes if he were to fire Casey mid season. Back to bak first seeds in the Atlantic, two of the best regular seasons the franchise has ever had and you fire the coach that did all that for you? Yeesh! MU would get roasted league wide by media et all.
Blue Jays du,ped the executive of the year and people DGAF and Casey is just awful. If Raptors cant get Ollie they might try to trade for Brett Brown on the Sixers. Cant imagine he likes it there and is a Spurs guy

Casey for Brown. Sixers can have the tank commander.

Pump Casey as a defensive genius then dump him on Hinkie. Just like the Mavs did. Too bad Hinkie isn't Coangelo

        • Send Casey to Sacramento, he will have Maclemore shooting 20 shots a game and Cousins will be benched in the fourth every game

Blue Jays dumped Alex Anthopa-something? I believe the man left on his own accord after having made a name for himself in Toronto and getting the interest of the league.

While I'm not opposed to hiring a new coach, I wouldn't just go out and hire the first guy available either. For all the love the collegiate coaches have been receiving, none are exactly lighting the NBA on fire right now. Hoiberg and Donnovan, inherited championship calibre teams and are doing about as well as the Raptors are. Boston isn't looking like they are any better than last season under Stevens. I'd much rather replace Casey with a proven commodity.

              Gotta give casey a pass.

              No salmons

And those are shots they normally make.

All these casey appologists are also demar appologists.

              Coincidence? Nope.

Aren't you the Ross apologist? It's all Casey's fault that Ross forgot how to shoot right? He dropped 51 points on LA in spite of Casey.....Regardless, I prefer the term supporters than apologists.

I am a Demar supporter because he's a big part of our team and he gets wayyy too much hate on here.
I am a Casey supporter because he's our head coach, the team plays hard for him and he gets wayyyy too much hate on here.

Ross gets less hate than Casey and Demar (because of his apologists I guess).....although he's catching up and deservedly so.

They made him an offer he had no choice but to refuse. They didn't want him back and he led the team to their best season in 2 decades. The media isn't crucifying anyone. If the stumble they will but not now

Casey and his retarded defense hurt Ross defensively just like Demar. 4 seasons of doing everything backwards. It's no coincidence that CoJo and DC are so much better at playing team defense than either and CoJo is basically a rookie or soph. What's going on with Patterson is anyone's guess.

But Cojo and DC are also better individual defenders.

I have no clue what you're talking about with the Casey hurting Ross thing....lol

Ross just doesn't deserve all the excuses you guys make for him.

At this point I'm just hoping Masai knows something about Ross that none of us do... Maybe there's a GM out there that really wants him and this is Masai's way of getting some value back as soon as he is tradeable or during the draft?

I dunno, I'm just really hoping. We just got rid of all of our end of bench wasted cap space and everything too..

I'm probably Ross' biggest fan on the forum ... and if you honestly think Ross doesn't get more hate than either of those two; then I don't know what you're reading. There's a large difference between actual criticism and hate.

DeRozan is likely criticized too much especially given it is becoming more apparent he is doing what is asked of him.

                          Casey doesn't get enough criticism.

This. It's been what, 5 years now of Casey as HC? And the team has played the same all 5 years offensively. Iso-ball with your best guys, minimal ball movement, marginalization of shooters due to an inability to generate consistent open catch and shoot opportunities. First it was Bargnani in DeRozan's role, then Bargs and DeRozan, then DeRozan and Gay, the past few years and now it's Lowry and DeRozan.

I guarantee that DeRozan would be playing differently if he was on a team that made ball movement a priority and installed an offense and had the adequate coaching to make that viable.

You realize that more people wondered why he WASN'T fired in the off-season after the embarrassing playoffs right? The only thing that he'd get roasted on would be why he wasn't fired then.

To further prove my point, this excellent post from the Ross thread:
