There's a big difference between noting the fact a coach is on the hot seat and calling him a terrible coach that needs to be fired now. The Zach Lowe article has it in a part called "good coaches get fired - again" for the love of god....

If Casey was fired after the playoffs I think a chunk of the media would have supported or been ambivalent but that time has passed.

I hate to break it to you but the Fire Casey NOW stuff is largely limited to a select group of forum posters at RR, the RealGM forum and a few posters/commentators at a couple other sites. No one in the Toronto media or in the larger NBA media world is calling for Casey to be fired and I don't think any prognosticators ranked Toronto lower cause of Casey - they ranked them lower cause they didn't think the roster was very good and the rest of the East was improved. The casual fans who are crucial to the team are not on the Fire Casey bandwagon either. It's just that you guys have been talking to yourselves for so long you assume everyone else must think it, too. It's not the case.

I've seen him listed as on the hot seat for being fired on both Sports Illustrated and FoxSports, as recently as 2 weeks ago.

Media like Doug Smith might be upset and you might get a snide remark from media that largely ignores the Raps, but don't pretend that this is solely a "internet wacko" driven thing.

By that logic alone you admit that your point of his firing being limited to RR/RealGM and a few sites is invalid. If he is on the hot seat, regardless of whether it's deserved, then clearly it exists beyond those avenues as you suggest.

Who cares, Vinny Del Negro won CoM too. Other coaches like Pop lose games trying to integrate LMA or Stevens who has 15 odd parts and figuring out how to use them or Vogel with no Hibbert figuring out how to defend. The Raptors bench issues now will still be there in game 82

Raptors are NOT WINNING THE RIGHT WAY. Still making bad mistakes, still Iso, still not understanding that Bismack is Not Ben Wallace!! Still making bad substitution.

Yall Should be Praising how connected the Reppers are to each other and how even with the Madness of casey, the team is still overcoming the foolishness to Win.That's what happens when You have Scola and Motion(Joseph) who are natural Winners and come from Programs that are known to elevate The Squad.

Basically The Raptors are repping 4 on 6 every game if you include that Coach Casey is basically coaching for the Raptors opponents.

Toronto aka Tha Good has something special with the Raptor Squad, Yet the reborn Darrel walker oops Dwayne casey is trying his best to destroy every entangibles, unselfish, passing mentality THAT ALL RAPTOR MEMBERS HAVE.....NO RAPTOR IS A SELFISH REPPER...They are learning bad habits from casey who is forcing demar to look selfish, and having Cory Joseph(Motion) ISO, yet the Team even with all those handicaps are STILL BALLING STILL DOING DAT DERE, STILL HITTING DEM SHOTS.

Let me say this Fam You Put Stan Van Gundy on this team as coach and they win 58-63 games, cause they would be Running and Gunning that reps to there strong points, they would also be cutting to the basket,

and they would not STAND THERE STARING AT GUYS DOING ISO!!! even saying this the Squad with all those handicaps....can still win 50-55 games(WOW) that's how good the Team can be!!!

Casey seems to have no problem whatsoever sitting guys if they're not doing what he likes/wants. See James Johnson (all the damn time), Jonas Valanciunas (especially in 4th quarters last year) and Ross (playing a career low 16mpg this season). So from that it should follow that Lowry and DeMar are not just going rogue out there with the iso ball and actually doing exactly what's asked of them from the coach, right?
