Man..that first half felt like that they wanted coach fired, national TV.. they didn't care..

That wasn't good defense from the start. The video paused at the perfect point at 45 seconds. It was either Giannis was guaranteed a layup which is basically 100% going in or a kick out to the perimeter for Allen to shoot who is shooting 37% from 3 and probably somewhere in the 40s on open 3s. Teams can't stop Giannis without help, all 5 guys running at him probably isn't smart though. Not sure what Fred was doing on that play, he was behind Scottie who had his hands up to try and contest Giannis. Outside of that everyone was on the strong side.

Except Barnes and OG switched the screen and Scottie had Giannis totally under control and under the basket with no shot. It was defended perfectly on ball. All that was needed was one of Pascal and Gary to step in slightly to close of Giannis entirely. If Fred and OG had stayed closer to home he has nowhere to go with the pass and it's turnover number 13.

but would be an interesting discussion.

Personally, it might work at the right time,

If your 6'9ers can't shoot or guard the rim, who cares if they can play multiple positions?

i remember him being like nurse against the Clippers ..leaving Gobert in and just defending the paint and thus guys like Mann having wide open (corner) 3s

raps had a bunch of injuries and honestly this team was just constructed poorly. no C, no bench, no shooting.

wouldn't want a new coach to spark a run for us anyway; as masai said, we're in it to win it and we won't win it with this roster.

Forget replacing the coach right now. The roster just won't work. Nurse is WAY down the list of issues. One bad season and you all call for his head. I don't think there is any coach in the NBA who could win with this roster. Last season was as good as it could get, and in hindsight it was quite the accomplishment by Nurse.

Partially disagree that you can't win more games with this roster. Personally I just think the system is too tough for these guys right now but there is enough talent to do something more standard and win. I do not think Nurse is defined by this system alone.

A standard system requires a PG. We don't have one.

A standard system requires a C. We only have a very raw rookie in Koloko.

A standard system would be even worse with this roster.

Project 6 9 switchable everyone is a failure. A swing and a miss by Masai and Bobby.
