Vince Carter - Vinsanity, Half Man Half Amazing.

      DeRozan - Deebo, Comp10

      Kawhi - North Star ?
His most widely-used nickname has always been The Claw.
Which is the PERFECT nickname for a Raptor.
      The marketing possibilities are endless.
And if you spell it 'The Klaw' it's also not that different 'KLow'
... and then when they hook up for a sick alley --
you could get all onomatopoeic and be like "KLAW-KLOW!!!"
Ok - that last part's a stretch, but still.

(Also, on the off-chance he turns out to be a pussy re the cold,
he could be 'Kitty Kawhi, The Kitten with the Big Mittens.')

This kid will be just fine. Getting players to stay has never been hard in Toronto, getting them here has.

Kawhi Leonard will likely have a great time living in Toronto, and if they are posting w's, he will be more than happy to stay.

Trust me, multiple trip to the finals will keep any star happy.
          What...

          Bosh, T-Mac, Vince.

              Disclaimer: since 2014.

              Lowry, Deozan, Ibaka stayed.

Biyambo was offered 3 times the money he was worth elsewhere but he otherwise wanted to stay.

PJ Tucker was the sole blemish but he was here for a cup of coffee only and went to a better team.

                  • It was already mentioned in the Danny Green thread but it looks like him and Kawhi are here today for physicals (as per the San Antonio newspaper article)

It would be nice if they were on the podium w/MU and answer a couple questions.... and smile

Bosh and Vince both re-signed here and gave the franchise years to build something around them. T-Mac's the only one who bailed early.

I'm so tired of this narrative. Toronto's had no more trouble keeping stars than any other middling organization. If you have a legit star for something like 7 years and can never do much more than get past the 1st round once (or not at all), eventually he leaves. This is not unique to Toronto.

Agreed. Vince signed a 6 year extension. He left because management was terrible back then.

Bosh gave a lot to the team, but the team was terrible and never got anywhere, so he left to join Lebron and Wade. Don’t blame him.

                            • What are the odds that Kawhi's physical reveals the injury isn't quite 100%, and Masai either gets another piece from the Spurs, or cancels the trade altogether?

Imagine the look on DeRozan's face....
