Random Monday morning thought: I've decided to get ahead of the constant confusion referring to Leonard or Lowry as KL will cause and have decided to refer to them as KL2 and KL7. That is all.

On the other hand, there is a repetition of pet moves and responses to counters that are extremely hard to stop. Skillzzzzzz!"We're playing in a building." -- Kawhi Leonard

S.R. wrote: View PostIt's the skill + size advantage. This is what Lowry and DD always struggled with as go-to scorers when everything tightened up. It's why everybody loves size and athleticism in the NBA. At some point your whole season is going to come down to your best guy trying to score over/through the other team's best defender. So many of those highlights were vs. Trevor Ariza, Jae Crowder, etc. etc. Kawhi needs 1 screen or the space for a post-up and that's it. He will go at you or step back and shoot right over your best, longest perimeter defender. The Raptors have never had a guy who could do this at this level before.

Vince wasn't that good at simply using his length (in the post), or getting to his layup finish when the defense was locked in. Some of that may have been the team around him not providing the space he deserved.Last edited by SkywalkerAC; Mon Aug 13, 2018, 01:08 PM.
