That said, there's certainly work to be done on the offense before the playoffs roll around, but offense (ranked high in the league) isn't the problem right now compared to lack of focus/consistency on defense. It was said from the start that team identity this season was going to be defense, and that it was going to take a while to work up the offense. JV's absence for half the season hasn't helped, nor Carroll's absence.
Now here's a wild theory, that just may have some meat on it, considering the offense is already ranked high in the league, and the team isn't doing too bad at all in the standings, considering rough early schedule, and key player absences: We all say the regular season means nothing unless they do well in the playoffs, right? Maybe the coaching staff has a bunch of offense in their back pockets, not wanting to show all their cards until the playoffs. I know, I know, a wild ass theory, but word all season has been a slow build on the offense, and they're really not positioned bad with what they're doing so far.
