Can someone explain to me why DeMar's transition numbers are so bad? He's young, athletic and playing for a good defensive team that gets a decent number of steals, and he plays 36 minutes per game, and yet... less than 2 transition possessions per game? Only ranked in the 42nd percentile for points per possession? I really don't understand.

In terms of why his possessions are where they are, we play at the 5th-slowest pace in the league, and Casey has always been against guys leaking out. Lowry gets a lot of transition opportunities because he is 2nd in the league in steals, but DeMar and the rest of the guys are all under 2.

In terms of why his PPP is below average, could partly be due to a lack of going strong. His dunk attempt % is the lowest of his career. TRoss has double the attempt rate and has a much better PPP in transition.

Not really a big concern though imo.
