Golden State won with Curry who is not a good defender (certainly worse than Lowry) and Klay who is just average and only rated above average sometimes because he can guard more than one position sort of.
The guard positions are the least important defensively. Bigs play a much more crucial role in anchoring your defense.
I mean, he has improved a lot, but still, he's not a plus on that end. He struggles with PnR."Stay steamy"

Also Cleveland isn't really a good defensive team in general so maybe not the best example to use on my part.
But again the point remains guards are not the most important for defense, bigs are. They are the last line of defense between the opponent and the basket and all roads lead to the basket. To say a PG or SG is more critical to a top defensive team than a center is just really arguing a point that has no weight or merit.

@HPbasketball they're doing better now that they've gone back to Jonas not playing in the 4th. 6-4 when he plays over his mpg average

2015-16 he played pf and they were 26th DRtg and won 10 games. #29 in opp PTS/gm at 107.6. Kings were #30. nerlens still was more than double dbpm then their next best player, playing out of position.
2013-14 (nerlens missed that season) they were #30 in opp PTS/gm (109.9) and #26 in DRtg. of players that played at least half the games, spencer hawes had the highest dbpm (.8).
2014-15 noel was a 20 yr old rookie. that's an anchor! one guy can make a huge difference at that position. sixers were significantly worse on defense without nerlens at centre in 2013-14 and 2015-16.

2nd clip - Pat does everything great. Hedge was an easier one but great close out on Olynyk.
3rd clip - another good quick hedge but it really has nothing to do with Bebe's contest.
Plus sideline and middle PnR's are not exactly the same & maybe Bradley and Rosier should be handled differently - but mostly JV needs to take off sooner. Two beer away from being two beers away.

Nerlens dbpm was more than double the next best dbpm player on that team. in the 7 games that nerlens missed they gave up +9 opp PTS/gm (or 110.1 opp PTS/gm. the wolves were #30 ranked at 106.5). they won 18 games that yr.
