Are you for real ? Do you really think SA will do that !!! Come on ...
They would 100% trade one of those guys for JV. Adding both LMA and Gasol is where it gets iffy. JV on the right team can average 20 and 10. He could do it here if he got the ball more.

    • It's early, but I'd but lying if I said the thought hasn't crossed my mind. Is Jonas "injury prone"? From his hand, to his ankle, to his knee.....maybe his body just can't be trusted for life as a pro baller.

      • He's played 70 games per season on average so far. Everyone's favourite future Raptor Boogie has played 69 on average over 6 seasons.

        • Trade 1: JV+Powell+filler+picks for LMA.

If LMA isn't fitting into the Spursian culture, I think the Spurs jump all over that. Spurs HAVE to get younger at some point and build with guys closer in age to Kawhi.

          Trade 2: CoJo/Bebe for Bayless/Noel and voila.

          Starters: Noel/LMA/Carroll/DD/Lowry
          Bench: Yak/Siak/Sully/Pat/Ross/Bayless/Wright

          Championship contender right there.

That's a solid and mobile starting 5 with a deep and versatile bench. BTW - I have absolutely no idea if any of that works, salary-wise.

          • Would we ever go inside with DD and LMA being options #1 & 2?

              LMA is your inside option.

                I like this

Jv + yak or Sully (with pick(s)) works for LMA works in trade machine.

                Cojo for noel
Sully + delon with or without a 1st or 2nd for noel
Cojo +1st or 2nd or fvv for noel + roco ( or cut fvv).

                All work in trade machine.

We can go inside, pick n pop, drive n kick.
We've seen how predictable and stagnant the offense becomes in the playoffs when it just dd driving or long twos. Diversity would help us.

                    Noel/Bebe/Yak
                    LMA/pat/siakam
                    Dmc/roco/bruno
                    Dd/Ross/norm
                    Kl/delon/fvv

Best case scenario I think but we probably lose all our picks.

I don't see how this is the best case. We lose JV, CoJo, Sullinger and all our picks to get an aging star and a player who proved nothing yet?

Watching less and less non-Raptor basketball over the last few years so maybe my thought is outdated, but I look at LMA as a mid range shooter.

                            Best case of proposed trade.
Yes, we lose some things. Might make us better tho.

I'd keep those guys and look for a "put us over the top" trade somewhere else. I'm not convinced that isn't a lateral move overall, and it leaves roster holes on the Raptors and makes them older.

So far this year he's taken 8 midrange shots per game to only 6 inside the paint, and only half those paint shots at the rim. Your thought seems pretty up to date.
