FWIW.. A lodge brother was sued by the attorney for the plaintiffs who haven't yet settled. The Houston Texans have been named as "enbabling" the behaviour of one Mr. Watson and are as culpable.

So now Roger Godell has an owner in the gunsights of a class action lawsuit The NFLPA rep was making arguments that Watson should receive similar treatment to other profiles in the NFL that have been sued for sexually based charges.

Now more than ever the NFL wants to settle this and move on.

I think a season should be bare minimum. The way the Browns tried to circumvent his contract makes me hope its even longer than one season, since he'd only lose out on $1M for the 2022 season.

I don't have too much faith in the NFL penal system... they never get anything right.

The Watson saga will be adjudicated likely before the beginning of camp for vets next week July 27th I think. .
Just the one short blurb from the local espn beat writer. Then nothing.
No one is going to be able to move on from this without varying amounts of shit on their shirts.

EDIT... Browns beat writers talking about the NFL not getting the indefinite suspension....Writer didn't touch on any number of games. Wonder if 8 games might be enough for both sides .. the league or the PA could appeal... but do they want to kick a dead skunk?
Yet More Editing... Browns are working out backup QB's (McCaron and gulp Josh Rosen)... You could suffer through Jacoby Brisset for 5 or 6 games.... not more. So suspension could be more than 6 games.
