I agree. I think the high slot teams should swing for the fences on second round summer league studs. Don’t let professional basketball teams dictate who you’re gonna like.

The thinking was because we also want to limit, or be generally consistent, with how long each person has to facilitate deals within their pick window.
Someone could theoretically gain an advantage of having a massive pick window and look to leverage that by exhausting days of trade discussions with the known prospects available that maybe others don't get to have. I know I would. Lol

But like I said, if others just want to get on with it (or are just impatient and want instant gratification like me), then so be it. Lol

jbml and drizz both sit in front of me in the draft order .. they're both not super active here... not saying I have my fingers crossed, but you know ... in this new merciless world we live in, only the ruthless will rule.
