RR NBA Points League aka. FPL (Fantasy Points League)

Hey guys,

I'm launching a new league next season and it's really new. I'll be running a head to head points league and it's never been done here before. I setup the two popular hoops leagues here in the beginning and so I like to think I know what I'm doing but I'd like to test out some things now so next season goes off without a hitch. So, if you'd like to help me then please PM me your email addresses and I will send you a league invite for an extremely short 2017-2018 season. By helping me now you're guaranteed a spot next year. Of course, Raptors Republic forum regulars will receive higher priority for spots but I'm looking for up to 20 teams and the biggest league we have right now is 16...

Here are some details about what I'll be shooting for in the league:

• Hosted by Yahoo.
• Head-to-head points league.
• It's a six category league (Pts, Reb, Ast, Stl, Blk & TO)
• Each of the six cats has an individual scoring multiplier associated with it which is applied to your weekly total stats giving you a total score for the week against your opponent. That's right, all six cats total into one number and that decides the winner. I've set it up so hopefully total scoring for each team falls between 100 to 115PPG, similar to the NBA.
• Scoring will be real-time, meaning you can track how your game(week) develops.
• Rosters will be ten players plus five IR slots.
• All ten of your guys are started each night, there are no set positions. Want to draft ten centers? Do it by all means if you think you can go big and win like that or you could play small ball or whatever, it's all your choice.

One more thing. This test season will draft on March 5th and will be an auto-draft. Next season will not be an auto-draft. It will most likely be an auction format of some kind.

Its an auto draft. I think we draft March 5th. Setup your pre-ranks and you should be golden.

Next season we'll do a live auction. We're doing auto draft now due to the timing.

I just updated the scoring multipliers. In excel I then ran through the Dynasty teams, plucking the top ten scorers off each team for simplicity. Here are the results:

Note that this is dynasty rosters and the team 007 assembled probably could score 135 PPG and Tucas' team would be in NCAA.
