RR Keeper League - Season 9!

When do we need our keeper picks in by?

Yep! Was going to wait until today-ish (October 1st) to get this one moving, now that Dynasty has alot of its Offseason milestones taken care of.

Now taking suggestions for Auction date! Keeper deadline will be set just prior to that. Will try and come up with a Past-Keeper Table with costs if necessary, but hoping everyone is on top of their costs and numbers, so I can just confirm rather than determine those.

I'm going to have to go back and figure out how all of this stuff works again as I've forgotten most of it. Is the info in this thread or a different one?

*Keon had Draymond as a regular keeper, but Ballswin the year prior had him as franchise. I think Draymond was dropped down a peg to make it fair, since Ballswin's team needed help. At least that's how I remember it.

Yes, this is an auction draft.

I don't think we have a date for the draft yet. I know we often do it on the same day as the Dynasty auction draft, but I am open to other options. Typically keepers would have to be signed about a week before the draft, if I remember correctly.

Others, feel free to chime in and let's get ready for the TENTH season of this league!

Figured I'd mention in here that FPL drafts at 7;00PM EST on Oct 20th. There's a lot of overlap between leagues.

Friendly reminder:

Keepers are worth $30. Franchise $50. Those get subtracted from our $200 budget for the auction. Can only keep regular $30 keepers for 2 years max. Can designate as many players as you want as keepers. After 2 years, would have to mark a player as a $50 franchise keeper. Maximum of only one franchise player per team though. Even if you have to drop a player, you can still bid on that player in the auction, and that same player can be brought back if you win the bid.

Remember these are LAST year's keepers. They are keepers we chose at the beginning of last season, but not all of these players ended on the same team they started with. I traded Jokic away. I still have Towns, and he can keep the Franchise tag.

So, I will go ahead and announce my keepers for this 2019-2020 season:

KAT (Franchise)

This gives me $90 for the Auction draft. Most notably, I will not be re-signing Paul George.

Gentlemen, let's nail down a date for the draft!!!

Sunday October 20th is an option, but it would have to be around 1PM EST, since Dynasty is 4:00 EST, and FPL drafts at 7:00 EST. (But wow, what a day! haha).

PlanetMars wanted to avoid Oct 19, and I am good with that.

But if Sunday, Oct. 20th at 1PM EST doesn't work, our options are realistically Oct 18th at 7PM EST, or Oct 21 at 7PM EST. Could start a little later than that as well. Chime in guys!

Also, is there a way that we can make sure all the managers are a go? (since it's only been handful who have been active here). If we need to fill manager slots, now would be the time to put that word out there.

And if you are in this league, make sure you finalize your keepers ASAP!

If I had a vote for the draft, than my preference would be the 18th (around 10pm). Friday night should be quiet in my house. We have our last preseason game against the Nets that day though. 7:30pm start time. 10pm would be right after the game which could be perfect.

If we have to go the 19th, that's fine too.. Will try to do the autodraft, or sneak in for the first part of the draft while my wife isn't looking. I did a mock draft on my phone and it was alright.

We can always skip Week 1 (which isn't a full week anyway I don't think), and do the Draft on the 26th as well. Keep to our Sunday schedule.
