They've found a solution? Gift Ngoepe being sent down and Gurriel gets the call-up.

Kendrys is being activated too... wish they would ship him out. What a bust signing.
For sure Morales is going to catch some arrows and spears but he is in the DH role this year as the Jays manage their imbalances in the lineup with mystery injuries that land guys on the DL.....JD is coming back and if he can go ..the team has a pretty good hittin* lineup with JD...Teoscar...Travis..Morales/Pearce and the two newbies Diaz and Solarte...Granderson helps more than he hurts and Russell will too. Still not sold on Pillar as he is againreverting to undisciplined plate appearances.

    Still.....

A winning April this year has hopes up...The SP looks good and the bullpen as well...

This is the first lost series all year in the Bronx.

They are in the WC hunt...

Nice problem for the Jays to have. The issue is that they already have 4 outfielders and lack depth in the infield with Donaldson out, so tough to keep him up. BUT..... can you send him down when he's playing this well?

The BJs are intent on injecting themselves into the sports conversation around these parts for sure. With the Leafs and Raps in the playoffs at that!

Who woulda thunk? I was thinking a lost season. It's still early but they look like a "fun" team .... young too with more on the farm.

Ahhh, yes. Forgot about AA in Atlanta. Good call. Still, the fact Bautista can only a minor league deal is nuts.
Atlanta comes to the skydome in mid June..... if hes up.... you won't be able to hear his name when its called

AA is as loyal a GM as there is...

Hes giving Jose, one of his guys, a shot when no one else would...

9 and 5 ...Given the weather think the Sunday game in Cleveland is likely PPD as well...
April is tough for teams in the north east....means a couple of bullpen killing double headers against Cleveland down the road..
Still they have won or split every series so far....

Hernandez is up for a while and while it’s early..he adds a live bat into that mix that when JD gets well will lengthens that lineup even more......

Again..it’s early..but the SP is good..the bullpen is good and they are scoring runs....

    Maybe we got something here

I'm alright with the 8-5 start. Hell, I would have been happy with 5-8 given our April woes the last few years. It would be nice if Grichuk wasn't so terrible at the plate right now, but most of the other guys have had some nice timely hits, including 5 guys around the .300 mark. Pitchers have done pretty well too.
They've won their last three series, including two on the road. It's a great start.

So off the homestand the Jays hit the road with a 4 and 3 record.... Not bad at all.. A split with the Yankees which you take and they won the series from the ChiSox.... Solid baseball.

Starting Pitching looks good and the bullpen has some more arms in it than last years. They can still hit the longball and have more depth than last year,.

    Alrighty then.

Well... at least the SP looks decent....

As for the offence.... well 7 hits in two games isn't making anyone feel good and that E7 on the first AB of the season says maybe the OF defence still needs some help...

At least they're not carrying the pressure of an undefeated season.....

Post the grand salami from Smoakie...never mind.
