    Cubs just eliminated the Cards. The Blue Jays now have the shortest World Series drought of the remaining teams. Really shows how tough it is to win in baseball.

    The last time the Cubs won the World Series was back in 1903!

      The Cubs are only in the NLCS now though. They haven't really won anything. Do you mean the longest drought of teams not making it to the League Championship Series?

              What bothers me is the runner was far from the plate when the ump came out waving his arms to call it a dead play. Doesn't that negate the interference? Wouldn't that lead the fielding team to not try to make the play?
