Reading today that the Vegas books are getting nervous about the Mayweather-Macgregor fight and are hoping for some big Mayweather bets late in the week. MGM apparently has 6,000 more tickets for Conor than Floyd. That's insane....
rocwell, time to make some money!
Yup, buybacks always happen in fights like this. Vegas will be just fine. I try to stay away...
The real Conor McGregor... A former plumber who cried in defeat, likes using moisturiser and has gone from €188-a-week dole to £62m fight with Floyd Mayweather in four years

Bookies needed that. IF (big if) Conor wins, alot of the smaller books will likely be out far too much to continue operations.
Nah it doesn't work like that. Bookies protect themselves from bankruptcy by not offering too generous odds and offers. And they also limit on how much money they can take on particular offering.
If sports gambling company goes bankrupt, it's cuz of management failings or 'foul play'.

Well that's just it, some of them (trying to find the article) have been finding that people don't actually care when they're betting on Conor, which seems to be unique .. they had to go pretty ridiculous with the odds before people started leaning back to betting on Floyd.

Nah this shit happens all the time. It's an unique fight though so it's not a surprise you see big early $$ on underdog. Same thing happens to World Cup final, NCAA Final 4, boxing newcomers underdogs. Buybacks always happen at the end in Vegas. ALWAYS. People have just too much money lol, I guess? Also, sharps who wait until the end(in situations like Conor-Floyd) usually get way better odds than you and me.
De La Hoya feeling a bit salty it seems ... damn. Lol Tweeting "FUCK YOU #MayweatherVsMcGregor BOTH OF YOU ARE DISRESPECTING THE SPORT OF BOXING #CaneloGGG Sept 16th"
