I'm sure this has been brought up before but I don't see it anywhere recently. No word on Jimmy Butler's injury and it might be minor but.....If it's anything significant, I think it sinks the Bulls for this year. Gasol is on a very reasonable $7.5 million-ish contract and has a player option for next year. He rebounds, shoots almost 40% from three (though he doesn't take many) and any raptor fan knows he's got a great mid range shot. Would he be the veteran presence to push us through? This may not have come up before because there was no way the Bulls would trade him but this may change things.

I prefer Jeff Green, who can play the 3 and the 4 who is at 29. However, based on team standings , it appears to be Morris, Faried who are 25/26 in age. or wait for David Lee to be bought out by Boston. Lee is a good backup PF who will leave next year for New York City.
PPat + JJ for Green is a reasonable trade as Green is a free agent this year.
