  • I just want it to be over. Hopefully, everyone can just relax with a Biden presidency, and hopefully, Biden doesn't empose full lockdowns.

Lol Which empirical evidence is that? Democrats have won 7 of the last 8 Popular Votes ... and are on track to win both the PV and the Presidency itself .. so I'm going to go ahead and say "Nope".
      Civics advice.
The popular vote doesn't matter in the US. It doesn't matter in Canada where Skippy also lost the popular vote yet formed government.

So what is Joey B going to say to the 50% of the population that voted against him ?
Approximately 70 million people didn't vote for Joe.
      Approximately 72 million people did.

Joe is President of the US Northeast a few great lakes states and the West Coast.
The US south .. south east... south west.. rust belt and great plains states voted no.

Whats the message ? How do you build back better within your own country ?

The divide between opinions is still stark and sober.
They will do it all over again on the same battle lines as today with a different more polished messenger from the GOP.
The message will be the same.

And the Dems are the Clips of US politics.
      I don't normally like a tank. But when I do I prefer a #TampaTank.

If the Dems are the Clippers, the inept Republican's are the Washington Generals .. or .. y'know, just corrupt scumbags. Take your pick I guess.

And LOL you think Trump is better suited to this task? Please. Get real. Of the two options, Biden is the only one that can bring back normalcy to that country and you know it. Trump did nothing to push the two sides further and further apart.

And while I've said time and time again that Trudeau has been far from perfect, I'll take him 100% of the time over that corrupt buffoon Trump. The guy is acting like the biggest loser ever, and trying to completely defraud the entire democratic system of its legitimacy in the US, but ya, "Dems are the Clips".

Are you happy with Biden? I'm genuinely concerned that he is simply too old, and his VP seems pretty crazy to me. It's a shame the dems couldn't run someone better. Mayor Pete, Tulsi Gabbard, anyone.

          Yang 2024!

Not at all! He won't even be able to run for a second term! He's a lame duck the minute he gets elected if you ask me. But, him or Trump? Not even a question in my mind. The United States of America as we know them could not survive another 4 years of Trump in my opinion.

And I really like Pete though. Same with Yang. Beto too. They're the future of Blue.

A blacksmiths touch of hyperbole on the US not surviving another Trump term. They have survived worse. Much worse.

As to why the Dems are the Clips of politics

It took everything they had .. everything .. to unseat this walking talking boor of human being in what should have been a romp. Four years of a spray and kneel strategy of throwing any shit that might stick on the wall when all they had to do was let the idiot talk. And they are still counting ballots on day 3 in what the US MSM was calling a rout only the day before.

While still in the majority the Dems also managed to lose seats in the House of Representatives.
They only gained 1 seat in the senate despite having 23 cracks at incumbent GOP senators out of the 33 available seats and Mitch McConnell, a far more formidable pol than Donnie, swings enough big weight to stall out and kill most of the more Occassio policy pieces of Bidens program.

Maybe the Russians missed the last flight out of Moscow to meddle in the election. Good thing. They let the Dems run it and they almost cocked it up despite an overwhelming advantage.

              They are the Clips.

I mostly agree, but the US absolutely could have handled another Trump term. He did some good, both economically and socially. He actually did a great job adressing the ridiculuous incarceration problems in minority communities, for example, which is something he'll never get credit for. The whole world will be better off without him enflaming every single issue though.

Also, I really didn't like Beto lol. Hopefully, Yang can step in next election when everyone realizes Joe has dimentia.

If Joe wins, Kamala takes over if ... and where did you get the dementia diagnosis? Did you know that Biden overcame/lapses into a stutter? Hope you realize that a stutter impediment does not equate dementia ... lol. Even douche DT knows that except he loves throwing out innuendos to the doofuses who come to his rallies for the cheap cheers.

Biden has won this election on what appears to be two non policy items.
Hes not Trumpy Bear and he said he will do a better job of trying to contain covid.
After that ..crickets. He didn’t even get grilled about his lack of a vision. It was vote for me I’m not Trump.

The great progressive blue wave never made the beach.

Pelosi actually lost ground in the House. Her majority was cut in half. It seems a lot of voters aren’t buying the progressive ideas being forced into the fray. I mean it’s great if you are an NYC congresswoman but if your fighting for your political life in Virginia or North Carolina or in Florida ....you got killed because you were painted as a socialist and no help was coming. Defund the police wasn’t such a hot ticket. The Green New Deal is a tough sell in Texas a state that the Dems thought they had a chance in.

Chuck Schummer had 23 cracks at junior senators and won one seat. The senate remains firmly in the control of a very conservative Mitch McConnell who will stop pretty much any legislation a diminished Pelosi can get off the house floor. The 100 trillion dollar green new deal will be discussed ad nauseum with no chance of being more than a news sound byte.

Biden wins...but the progressive blue wave and the bold new way never materialized. The Dems win a Pyrrhic victory of a neutered presidency.

And..unlike the left of left woke media that has given the inept Trudeau regime a pass on enacting any substantive policy in his five years in power ....the ever voracious US media will start to gash the Dems as Pelosi and Biden have a nothing burger of a vision or agenda and will most likely spend more time fighting amongst themselves over social policy that will never be strong enough for the left or centrist enough to have a chance at being enacted.

The Dems truly are the Clips or Knicks of US politics.
I wonder what CNN is going to do with themselves now that Trumps gone.
                    Maybe they go to WWE.

But you haven't addressed the "dementia" issue?

I'll take all of those dem setbacks you mentioned to have a defeated despicable out of office.... and more coherence out of the leadership in a most consequential country ... and geographically, one as close to us. I was beginning to smell the stench over here.

ps...Clips' Kawahi maybe available to the Raptors next year.

Regan made it through most of his 2nd term in worse shape than Joe.
Be interesting to see "who speaks for Joe" if he regresses.

Right now Joe seems to be in control of himself.

                        • Biden is only 3 years older than Trump. They are both old as fuck.

Nice to see some normalcy come back to the office down south. I've been getting a headache watching all the Trump crap (on both sides). "W" was an idiot but it was never like this.

But yeah, Joe is a lame duck. The real battle begins in 2024. Hopefully Trump (by then will be 78) will do something else. Still pretty impressive that he got 69.8M votes and counting. He knows how to reach the common man. No idea why, but he has that knack.

Rob Ford had the same ability in Toronto too.

Do you truly believe the corrupt scumbags are all on one side or the majority of them are on one side? That's your conclusion based on all the evidence?

Look fat, don't question Joe or you ain't black or trhakhdfhalkhaksdfae..... zzzzzzzzzzzz.

But, seriously, the Obama team will run things. You think they are going to let Biden make any decisions? He doesn't even know what day it is. They will wheel him out once a week or so to show he's still alive (like the old Politburo) and he will try and read a 2 minute speech off a teleprompter but he isn't running the country.

The big short term question is whether the Republicans can hold the Senate and that turns on the Georgia elections/run-offs, which will be incredibly ugly.

Long term, this feels so much like Florida in 2000. Democrats still haven't gotten over that and my guess is that in 20 years Republicans won't be over 2020. Hopefully, much like Florida cleaned up its act after that debacle, all of these states will get their houses in order.
