No.. but he is such an easy target.
One would hope the Canadian media would take the odd swing at him.. but no.
They look like Bartolo "Big Sexy" Colon at the plate. Never once taking the bat off their shoulders to take a rip now and again.

Skippy is a dick... its easy to take shots at him.
Hope you realize my post was satirical and I am glad you recognized some truisms in it. That is the mark of good satire. But you pivoted to your favourite mark who must be also enjoying the "demise" of a Canada nemesis.

An ethically owned and organically grown pablum spewing sloganeering hologram.
Never has so little been delivered, from the choosen annointed few, after promising to deliver so much to so many.
        Thats my opening position..

Al Gore had his day in court to contest the 2000 election, Trump deserves time as well to make his case. The Dems wanted to go to war with Russian and spend four years obstructing Trump over some Facebook ads - Biden can wait 3-4 weeks for an election to be certified. Don't worry, the US establishment can get back to outsourcing jobs overseas, allying with Iranian terrorists and starting new wars in January.

I am not sure what you mean by riots, etc. 70 million Trump voters and none of them have burned anything down as far as I can tell nor will they. But they also aren't going away. Trump was a manifestation of the failure of the American ruling class. The populism banner that he advocated from the right will be picked up by others and the easily predictable failure by the Harris administration will invigorate progressives. The guys in 2024 - 2028 will have you begging for the good ol', reasonable days of Trump and Bernie Sanders.
I don't remember what happened with Gore exactly, only that it was a close election. As for this one, right now:

          Biden 290
          Trump 214

          Biden 76,344,447
          Trump 71,444,758

The gap is so large that it is ridiculous to suggest Biden didn't win the election.

Riots have been ongoing for the past year and Trump's reaction to situations in his country escalated matters every step of the way. Trump is president of all Americans, not just those who agree with him or think or look or act a way he deems acceptable. He hasn't learned this though, that he's responsible for everyone and his words and actions impact everyone. Trump is unreasonable and eliminates people who challenge his views. Challenging one's views is the only way to improvement and a rookie president always stands to improve. Trump is a symptom of a broken mess that likely won't ever be resolved civilly in the next decade due to how their political structure is set up and the type of politicians that tend to rise to power in that structure.

          • The GOP is giving Trumpy Bear a path to an exit. Not a glorious one but neither the walk of shame. No one is taking shots at him as he copes with being fired by the electorate. Then again neither is anyone stepping inside the ring with him as he tilts at windmills. There is only the one choice for DJT. File your lawsuits and let the mechanisms of the republic usher in the new executive branch leadership team. Because if Trumpy Bear doesn't do this... what really differentiates you from a Bannana Republic. Hard to berate Xi and Putin when your doing pretty much the same thing you berate them for from the high moral ground.

Trump is 74... He will be 78 in 2024.
Does he bring back the show for the next election or slide into exile in NewYorkCity and Mara Lago ?

Republicans want his 71M votes and counting in 2024. They will cater to his needs all the way to the end. Let's see if that affects Georgia and the senate race in January. So far it seems like the two Georgia incumbents are hitching on to Trump's every word.

                It will not.
They are two discrete swim lanes.

As Apollo laid out... a plurality in both the electoral college and the popular vote is a lead pipe decider for Trumpy Bear. File the lawsuits like Gore did. Take your mulligan but it doesn't matter. Its over. Shake your fist but you can walk away.

The Georgia Jr. Senate seat runoff is a function of state politics. Not that New York Times isn't an impartial unbiased news service with an agenda.

Two separate events in their discrete swimlanes with no connection to each other till the media wants to find one.

Its a far fairer lens than the NYT or the WaPo.

Yet the like most publications outside of Canada they have a bench of personnel who write for and against any topic. Sudeep might fall into the non GOP section. Its like choosing between the Toronto Star and the Montreal Gazzette as to who might be marginally more or less pro LPC.

Georgia will have their runoff(s).. The candidates on the ballot likely won't be changing their core positions. How they are viewed/perceived by the electorate in less than 45 days after spending two or three years of laying out who they are and what they'll do and what they support is unlikely.

Executive Branch = Centric Dems with Joe.
Senate = Right of Centre Conservative GOP led by McConnell.
House = At present a thin centric Dem majority led by an aging Pelosi with a massive fight looming for control of the party with the Warren/Saunders socialist wing who believes the party didn't go far enough with Biden.

Gridlock... just like its been for the last two decades.

The fight inside the Democratic party will be epic.

Okay sure.. but the point I was making is that Trump's inability to concede the election and take a dump on the democratic process is trickling down to the senate race as well. Most (not all thankfully) Republicans want to attempt to please Trump and his base and will carry on the tirade that Biden stole the election.

GOP voters =/= Trump voters. Yet the pubs don't want to lose those Trump votes, and Trump knows it.

Here is a recent tweet from a Republican member of congress in Georgia:

There was no theft. And they are encouraging people to sign this dumb petition by giving away an AR-15. It's a big scam. Some Republicans (including Trump) are seeking "donations" as well to help with their cause. They are milking this for every penny (and vote) that they can get, even though it's a big giant disgrace to the democratic process. I mean Biden won handily. He's almost up by 50K votes in Pennsylvania now.

The shit storm that has been stirred up in the last four years likely only gets worse from here on out with Trump obviously angling for a comeback in 2024. I can't see any reason why he wouldn't call it last week unless he was going for theatrics, to control the narrative in his diehard voter base for when he tries to get after it again. I don't think we've seen the end of Trump come January 20th. So he's playing games, keeping things riled up for the show and once he's kicked out in January he'll likely keep the heat dialed up and the protests, riots, and violence will just continue on and on and on.

Biden has his hands full, he's in a much more challenging position than when he played sidekick to Obama but at least pfizer is bringing the promise of a 90% effective vaccine, which oddly enough is announced right in the window Trump predicted. A broken clock is right twice a day.

                          Headline from today:
President Trump is reportedly challenging the 2020 election results primarily just as "theater," as he puts on a "performance" for his supporters despite knowing he will not begin a second term in January.

Trump has still yet to concede the election to President-elect Joe Biden, and by Thursday morning, he was continuing to fire off baseless allegations of widespread voter fraud. But NBC News' Peter Alexander reports, citing a White House aide, that Trump is "very aware there is not a path to victory" for him and is putting up legal challenges as a kind of "theater" for his supporters, believing that they "deserve a fight."
he's reportedly interested in launching a digital media company to rival Fox News, and according to Reuters, he has told allies "he planned to run for president in 2024 and could announce it by the end of the year."

                          • Well, if the Week says it, then it must be true. We all know what great sources these places have in the Trump White House. Though, I do find it amusing how these sources always perfectly mimic the talking points and beliefs of the press about Trump. Funny how that works. Almost like these sources come from... their own heads?

My interest in the US right now is that he gets the troops out of Afghanistan before Christmas cause I have a colleague who has his son over there now. If he can accomplish that and save some lives before the establishment can throw them away again, then that would be a huge win for America.

I literally can't even tell what your point is here ... The only fraud that has been found is with someone using his dead mother to vote for Trump. If Trump doesn't know he's already lost, as that article indicates, then he's an even stupider man than I thought.

My first point is that The Week doesn't have any sources in the White House (other than the ones they make up) and has no idea why Trump does what he does.

My second point is get the troops out of Afghanistan.
