Avoiding the point does not make you look more equipped for this discussion. Quite the contrary.
Also, any lecturing about "Moral Derangement" coming from you and your side, is received as nothing more than the joke it is.

And lastly, Joe Biden has showed more dignity in the last week, than the guy you think won the election has ever shown in his entire life.

    Keep flailing.
Dignity and 2.77 gets you a coffee in the bear pit that is US politics.
Joe Biden is nearing (from the eye test) a gap in his ability to stay focused and on point from week to week. Joe loses his train of thought in mid point and mid sentence more frequently than anyone likes to see and embarrassingly wanders off into his own Bidenland. Its not pretty and it will likely get more pronounced as Joe ages in front of eyeballs on the evening news sound bytes.

The Dems put forward the most "electable" candidate they had regardless of where that person stood in the partys preference order AND it still took 4 days of pretty careful counting for any news wire or network to make a definitive call that he had won against the Great Satan of the GOP.. It was hardly the predicted landslide by the Dems and their devout followers.

There are 70 plus million voters that are going to use the "not my president crap the Dems used for the past few decades". They are all not deplorable single digit IQ white supremiscts now are they. Its a statistical improbability. They don't agree with message from the socialist wing of the Democratic party.

Trumps brand of individualistic populism is done this time through. It was defeat but it was a narrow one. Populism is now firmly embedded in the blue collar formerly big labour voters of the US identified as Trumps base.

The New Blue progressive wave crested and crashed long before it hit the beach. It fizzled. The US is still in the centre to centre right of the spectrum with a conservative senate and a pretty narrow margin in the House. They lost quite a few first time Congressmen and Congresswomen. The coming battle between the centrist Pelosi/Schumer wing and the left of centre Bernie/Warren wing of the party is going to be epic.

Whoever emerges will still face a divided electorate and they have shown they are not ready for higher taxes for even bigger government.

Round 2 will pick up right where this left off. You might even see a rematch between the great satan himself, Trumpy Bear, and Canadas favourite Kamala Harris.

Its a Pyrrhic victory for the Dems.

Agreed on pretty much all fronts. The only one I would discuss, is the pyrrhic victory .. I mean, sure, but who's the one burning everything to the ground on the way out?

        • Trumps going to concede.
He will drag it out and make a show of it but he’s done this time through. Unlike his TV lawyer Rudy Guilliani the real GOP teams have found nothing material for election fraud. The inquiry sign is now down and it’s time to cash the tickets. Nothing has been burned to the ground save for the media’s credibility.

UnSurprisingly... CNN and MSNBC and the 3 general networks dire predictions of riots in the streets was more mindless polemic farce. Lots of that still to come.

The thrilla in Manila in 2024 will pick up right where this scrap left off.

Same “pick em odds next time through.

I truly hope this post ages well.

But the fact you're going to say what Trump is doing is run of the mill, and the media are the ones who should carry shame right now is telling.

              That’s rich Joey.
Trump is a run of the mill ward healing politician in the image of Daley’s Chicago or Tameny Hall. Nothing new here.
              Economic protectionism isn’t new.
US isolationist forgein policy is not new.
Boorish and loud politicians are not new.
Are you telling me that the US media in its dogged pursuit of righteousness and ridding the world of populism has covered itself in glorying doing it. They look bad. Stinky fish bad.
Your defense of them is telling.

Can't tell if you're purposely being completely disingenuous and obtuse on this or not. Is that really all you think Trump is and has been?

And I'm not sure saying Trump has come out looking worse than the media is much a 'defense' but sure, I'll roll with that - What does my thinking Trump looks worse than the Media after this tells you? That I have common sense and a solid understanding of the world and reality? Fantastic. That's exactly what I was going for.

And if I'm "defending" the media, then this is the guy you're choosing to defend ...

                • Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Monday that he has come under increasing pressure in recent days from fellow Republicans, including Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, to question the validity of legally cast absentee ballots in an effort to reverse President Donald Trump's narrow loss in the state.

In a wide-ranging interview about the election, Raffensperger expressed exasperation over a string of baseless allegations coming from Trump and his allies about the integrity of the Georgia results
The atmosphere has grown so contentious, Raffensperger said, that both he and his wife, Tricia, have received death threats in recent days, including a text to him that read: "You better not botch this recount. Your life depends on it."
Raffensperger said he was stunned that Graham appeared to suggest that he find a way to toss legally cast ballots. Absent court intervention, Raffensperger doesn't have the power to do what Graham suggested, as counties administer elections in Georgia.

"It sure looked like he was wanting to go down that road," Raffensperger said.

                    • WASHINGTON — President Trump asked senior advisers in an Oval Office meeting on Thursday whether he had options to take action against Iran’s main nuclear site in the coming weeks. The meeting occurred a day after international inspectors reported a significant increase in the country’s stockpile of nuclear material, four current and former U.S. officials said on Monday.

Who was saying America is leaving the Middle East? Blowing shit up and kicking off a new war is not the typical legacy cementing project an outgoing President works on. He won't allow for a proper transition, one that he himself was granted, and it appears he might try to start some fires as he walks off the set while possibly forgoing the other noble acts an honorable President typically performs... While showing class, dignity, and goodwill in the process.

Biden is likely hearing about these new developments in the Middle East like you and me because Trump is blocking him from receiving intelligence briefings... Something he was afforded four years ago and for certain all recent and not so recent incoming Presidents was afforded.

I seemed to recall you supporting his fighting of the results, but perhaps I am mistaken. My bad if so.

Either way, no the point is not "He lies", though he does so on an unprecedented scale. The point is that Trump is now throwing the entire Democrat system in the US under the bus because of his, I guess you could say 'hissy fit', and alot of people on the right mostly seem fine with it.

Concediting with dignity and then investigating for wrong doing where there is clear grounds for investigation is one thing (as the Blues did, whether you agree there were grounds, is again, for another day) ... but there is absolutely zero evidence to support any of the stuff that Trump is saying now. Zero.
Are you fucking kidding me?!! The balls on you guys. You spent 4 years telling us that Trump is a Russian agent who stole the election spinning lunatic conspiracy theories. Calling everyone a fascist.

And I do support Trump contesting the election whether he wins that contest or not. It is his legal right to do so through the courts. And, in fact, I look forward to 4 years of Trump supporters calling Biden illegitimate and saying he stole the election. That's how it works now right? You think you're the only ones who get to do that? You guys made the rules and now you have to live by them. Get ready for 4 years of Biden is a Manchurian candidate. You earned them.

                          • Let's be real. Trump was going to pull this shit no matter what happened when he was elected. I don't think Biden is going to get the same treatment as Trump did in the media and Republicans are fighting their fight on the election front right now. It's not something that can drag on over four years. The allegations are local and they're being debunked quite easily.

The only people who will go down with the election fraud allegations this year will be far-right conspiracy theorists. They're a very small minority.
