Decided to play some Skyrim again.. had beaten the game and wanted to finish some side quests that I just never got to before. Went down a Youtube rabbit hole and discovered some loop/glitch that can create these very awesome fortifying potions.

I turned my ghost blade into a 1 swing killing machine. The games is just way to easy now. But also pretty fun. Need to find an ancient or elder dragon to see what it can do.

I just found out that PS Now allows you to download any PS4 games in the service (300 games). I've been meaning to play like God of War, Spiderman and Doom. For $60 for a whole year I think it's pretty good value with the list of games they have for PS4; for sure there are over a dozen I'll go through.

I tried out streaming some PS3 games on there and I'd only consider that aspect of the service if it were a turn based game. My Internet is pretty good but I can still feel the latency. I'll probably just pass and stick to the downloads.

Now in 2020 it feels like the Netflix of video games.

Anyone try stranded deep? This looks good, and makes me wish I had a ps4. Tired of ark survival now.

Edit add:just saw it was available on xone. Done and done.

its gonna be split into parts isnt it? 20+hours is pretty good for a multi part game
No announcement yet but just knowing the game inside/out and considering the pacing on this new one, I'd guess a trilogy.

I'm 31 hours in now and I have just received a warning about the upcoming point of no return. I'm not there yet and I knew I had to be close but it gives you plenty of heads up and then lets you know there are a bunch of new side quests to discovery over the map. Based on what I know of the old game and the pacing of the new game, I wouldn't be shocked if I still had 40-50 hours of content ahead of me. Then there's apparently a hard mode/NG+ with some extra content added in.

Anyway, the game didn't let me down. It almost feels like a JRPG mixed with an action game mixed with an old school beat'em up like Streets of Rage or Double Dragon. There's one area you go through and you need to make your way up a tower. I won't spoil anything but the combat and action is outstanding and with some challenge if you're not trying to grind levels or gear.

Been playing FFVIIR nightly. 20 hours in now and my only complaints would be minor things that I can live with, like almost any good game. I played the original multiple times and I know roughly where the remake is supposed to end. My only worry is they might leave me wanting too much more but then again they've stretched out the story pretty good so far with an expanded telling of the original story with some twists and turns you would not expect. I started feeling the game was a 10/10 in the first five hours and now I'm more feeling like a 9/10. Still a special game.

Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection & Journey are free for everyone right now on PSN. All you need is a Sony Playstation store account. It's not a time limit trial or anything, simply free. Pretty cool.

Wait until you get to Skellige. I was shocked by how big it was on top of where I had just been. Then later you get to the Toussaint in the expansion and again, same thing. The game is epic in scale but it's not empty spaces like BOTW, it is full of treasures and side quests. Amazing.

By the way, if one were interested in listening to all the books to get a greater feel for the story it would be well worth the time investment:

That's the correct reading order too by the way. My favorite stories mostly are mostly when Dandillion or Dwarfs are in the mix with Geralt or when Ciri is off to herself adventuring. I would not be shocked is "The Witcher 4" is a game with Ciri at the center. Then again, another and maybe better way to do it would be to go prequel to the books in the glory days of the Witchers.

Really impressed with the story telling of the Witcher 3. They do a great job of bringing you up to speed on the story, without it feeling like just a mindless information dump.

And the combat is surprisingly good as well. Really quite satisfying.
Also love the way they weave in actual real life folklore and monsters with the story. Some great voice acting as well. How has nobody heard of this game?!

saw the sega genesis bundle on switch. has shining force 1, and 2. 2 of my favourite rpg/turn based combat games. so good, and almost every play through is different because the cast of supporting characters, especially 2, is huge. who steps up, and who falls is different everytime.

phantasy star 2,3,4 all are so good.

on sale 16 bucks in the switch store

edit add: i also found out those coins you get from purchases, are real money that can buy games. did this by accident, and another friend of mine who has had a switch for a couple years didn't know either.

12 hours in and FFVIIR is outstanding. The only thing I wish it had that it does not is chair coop. Someone should be able to pick up the second or even the third controller and be able to play as my party members.

Honestly, I find that having watched the show made just jumping into #3 pretty easy and more fun. I haven't played the first 2 games, but watching the show introduced alot of the characters and "sides" of the story.

Also, I modded mine so Geralt looks like Henry Cavill ... Haha
it's actually free on game pass. have the download going. i prefer roleplaying games, not like icewind dale, on console. and free is best price.
