Favourite Director making one of my favourite Books? Frig yes.
Denis Villeneuve is remaking Dune, and that’s a good thing

This looks pretty awesome. New Tarantino film called “once upon a time in Hollywood” which takes place in 1969 Hollywood. Can’t wait to see it.

Really enjoyed the new Mission Impossible. Love how much Tom Cruise commits to his roles and stunts. Without spoiling, there is a shot where Tom Cruise jumps out of an airplane at 20,000 feet, and there aren’t any vfx, it’s all practical and in camera and it’s an incredible shot.

The link presents an article on the writer's notion of the "best" 20 some movies of the 2000's.
It would be interesting to get some feedback from respondents here to add 3 of their own which are not on the list. Add more of course if you wish.

ps... I am still evaluating my choices

A couple that I would add:
Hot Fuzz - a near perfect movie, hilariously entertaining. Edgar Wright’s best film.
Blade Runner 2049 - A perfect film. I’ve said it here before, it’s a masterpiece.
Memento - Nolan’s best film. Inventive storytelling with engaging characters.
Grand Budapest Hotel, Fantastic Mr. Fox - both Wes Anderson Movies, both beautiful to look at and really well told stories. I love the stop motion in fantastic mr fox.
Edge of Tomorrow - probably one of the best sci-fi movies ever made. Great performances from Tom cruise and Emily blunt.
Inglorious Basterds - an unpopular opinion, but IMO this is Tarantino’s best film. Amazing villain and really well developed tension and dialogue in some now iconic scenes.
There are so many movies that I could add here. A lot of movies from directors like Nolan, Paul Thomas Anderson, Tarantino, the coen brothers could be on this list.
