Well count me as bummed ... both Affleck and Cavill out as Batman and Superman. Personally, I thought they were both the best to have played their respective heroes:

I'm indifferent on Affleck, but definitely disappointed about Cavil. He did a great job as Superman

According to Deadline, the studio is considering Michael B. Jordan, who starred in Marvel’s “Black Panther,” to play Superman.

From what I gather Cavill has yet to sign on to the next superman project. That doesn't mean he won't sign it.. just means he hasn't yet. Could be a negotiating tactic on his end.


And MBJ is a good actor and him as superman would make the studio a lot of money.. but it's not the right call in my opinion. I'm old school though.

He looks damn good in a suit. I hope he's still Superman though ...

ehhhh... he doesn't cut it for me.

There's a lacking suave quality for me. I don't know. He's a solid actor, but there's that Bond-factor that I can't put my finger on that I feel he just doesn't have.

Did you see The Man from UNCLE? Great spy flick. I think he's got it.

Cavill also just got cast as Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix Witcher series. Apparently he's a big fan of the games. That should be interesting.
