“If a country like Canada can control guns and have guns against the law and have strict gun laws like they do, why can’t we? Why can’t we?” - Raptors coach Dwane Casey on The Woj Pod: https://t.co/uFYHZH6HmC pic.twitter.com/VF2VnRsp6W

For those who aren't on a Apple Device, here's the Woj Pod. Casey talks about the young guys, how he had to adapt, even admitting he failed Bruno.Axel wrote:Now Cody can stop posting about this guy and we have a poster to blame if anything goes wrong!!KeonClark wrote:We won't hear back from him. He dissapears into thin air and reappears when you least expect it. Ten is an enigma. Ten is a legend. Ten for the motherfucking win.KeonClark wrote:I can't wait until the playoffs start.
Until then, opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and they most often stink

"The Derozan of coaches" such a good way of putting it. Happy for coach Casey.
He's not perfect and attacking the coach is always an easy target, but Casey has grown and improved like all the other Raptors. He's the DeRozan of coaches.

Game recognize game. Everybody pumping air into the Casey balloon these days. Don't let us down now, Dwane....
Even Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens has recognized the work Dwane Casey has done in Toronto.
“Dwane is incredible. Not only have they tweaked some of the things they are doing on offense, but they have become more switch-oriented [on defense]. From an X’s and O’s standpoint, it’s obvious they are exceptionally well coached. But when you go even further and see how well the young players are playing, it’s a testament to the players but it’s also a testament to the environment.”

IMO as much of a Casey critic I’ve been over the years, this man deserves coach of the year if we finish up with the 1st seed. It sounds crazy but he’s done so much this year and his improvements are one of, if not the biggest reason we are doing so well. Big ups to Casey. It’s inspiring to see someone like him change so much for the better.

octothorp wrote: View PostI think it's especially warranted if you think that coach of the year is really a reward to the whole coaching staff (which, IMO, is should be). Offense, Defense, player development, lineup management, all of these things the coaching staff is doing brilliantly at. Even keeping the team so drama-free, at a time when ego issues surface on so many other teams.
