  • Here we go.....

So Toronto has been very succesful at two things.....

    1. Freeing up their guards on the pick and roll, or with high screens.
    2. Creating contact and drawing fouls.

Lets look at the NBA's new memorandum for points of emphasis for the refs moving forward in 2015.

doesn't matter. "points of emphasis" only apply for like 3 games, then refs go back to doing whatever the hell they want just like always.

not to mention that these were the points of emphasis going into this season already.

      Its just interesting.

There is a point about clear path in there too..... which explains why they cocked that up so badly in portland lat night.

The #1 problem with the NBA refs is they're so inconsistent. During our game vs Portland, it was a physical game for 3 quarter and all of a sudden in the 4th everything changed.

They started calling to ticky tack fouls and the players didn't know what to expect. Usually the refs let the team who's playing more aggressive get the calls but we didn't get any smh. Portland was just chucking 3s all game while we're outscored them by 25 in the paint but Portland gets the benefit of the whistle?

So I don't get it why let it be physical for 3 quarters and change the whistle in the 4th? Let the players decide the game and not the refs!

Fans are at the games to watch Lillard, Lowry, Aldridge etc!

Not Marc Davis staring into a monitor 10x in a row.

Raptors need to make a stink. This means coaches, players and management. Refs are eveluated after every game and too many inconsistent calls means fewer big games. The ref did not really impact the Portland game. TH fouled guys clearly and Freeland didn't do anything to warrant fouls early.
