    So.... we lost.
Congrats to the 905 on a great run.

They won it all last year. This year, it's the big club's turn.

Until then, opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and they most often stink

      • It will be interesting to see what happens to some of these players from here on. Obviously most fans are going to have greater interest when there are a couple of draft picks from the big club playing with the 905s. It is not often a VanVleet will emerge. But for those interested in the process an utility of having a G league team, how well any of these guys do from here is something to keep an eye on. There was some talk about increasing salary levels was there not? Turning the league into more of an option as opposed to European leagues. Or am I misrembering?

There was some talk but it hasn't gone anywhere yet. The only result so far has been the 2-way deal option, which provides a higher G-League salary (75k) than one can otherwise get (15-26k).

          • NBA organizations should be ashamed they’re paying so little.

The Grizzlies are valued at $1.3B. The NBA makes a lot of money.. paying guys $15-26K a year is ridiculous.

Discounting the 2 two ways the whole roster of a G League team is less than minimum salary for an NBA player ( I'm pretty sure).

                • Slightly different topic but NBA teams also pay slave-wages to their Dance squads (or at least some of them). I had assumed they'd get a solid amount per game (like $800+), not so much. More like $75/game and nothing for practices.

                  • Congratulations to LeRon Black, Parker Jackson-Cartwright, and Bryson Scott, who were drafted by the 905 in today's G-league draft.

Article and quick bios about them over on the other site.

                            • 905 showcasing some promising talent. A couple of these guys will be playing with the big club later in the season, maxing out their two way contracts.
