  • An infection is not an injury but the last thing you want to hear is your big man having feet problem. Hopefully he can recover quickly from it.

      Well at least it sounding like he is being responsible about it. I still remember the days of how Garbo opted to play for the national team after a brutal injury that still wasn't fully healed and then came back to the Raps as a shell of his former self just to collect his Cheque!!

        Poeltl will not play for Austria today because of a foot infection. According to Austrian team doctor, it is currently not foreseeable how long Poeltl must pause.
        So what’s he got..that’s pretty generic...

        An ingrown toenail...
        Toe fungus..
        Athletes foot?

        As long as he didn’t fracture or break bones in his foot or has a staph infection ..no cause for alarm.
        There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

          I'd guess ingrown toenail, that's the most common foot infection and you definitely wouldn't be able to play through it.

          • Poeltl news:

            Jakob Pöltl has to change his plans due to the infection of the left foot, which has become acute in the previous week and has not yet healed. Instead of Las Vegas and the planned training with the Toronto Raptors in the framework of the Summer League, the Viennese remains in his hometown for the time being.

            "Still quite swollen"
            The 22-year-old, who had to pursue the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Georgia from the bench due to the injury, is continuing his therapy in Vienna after consultation with those responsible. "Currently the foot is still quite swollen. I phoned the Toronto Raptors officials last night and then canceled the flight. The travel traumas would not have been beneficial, it makes more sense to rest and to make the therapy in Vienna, "said Pöltl on Wednesday.

            When he can resume the individual training, depends on the further recovery process. "I hope that the break does not last too long, at the training camps planned in August in Los Angeles, I would definitely like to be fully fit and in the process," said Pöltl.

                  Haha... he should give Arnie Schw. a call about some supplement drinks he can find locally and gym routines (for strength).

                  Buttered spaetzle?

                    A friend of mine interviewed Jakob Pöltl yesterday. As the video above is in German, here briefly what he's saying:

                    @injury:
                    Pöltl is almost fit again and wants to start working out in the next couple of weeks in Vienna

                    @trainingcamp:
                    End of July he plans to join the Raptors for summercamp in Los Angeles. He hopes the injury will be completely cured by then.

                    @trade rumours:
                    He heard of it, but doesn't worry

                    @Nick Nurse
                    He thinks that he could have a good chemistry with Nurse and is already curious about Nurse's system.

                          Yeah. I would really love it for him to get traded to the Spurs.
