Yeah, he's likely not going to start, but there's no way he doesn't make it.

Siakam, now there's the interesting case to be made...
The case will get easier as it goes. His numbers are practically improving every week

I am worried about how much he is going to affect our cap situation after his rookie deal if he starts making all-star teams already

If you can't improve your team because of said tight payroll you do.

You need to worry more about if Kawhi will stay next season. Because if he won't the Raptors are going to shed all the big salaries quickly anyway so there will be more than enough for Siakam.

It'll be hard for Siakam to make it.

Starters are 3 forwards and 2 guards. I assume that will be Embiid, Giannis, Kawhi, Simmons and Kyrie (although I'd have Lowry over Simmons, but that's a popularity vote).

Than the reserves are 2 guards, 3 forwards and 2 wild cards.

Guards have to be Kemba and Dipo (with one of Lowry/Simmons, the one that's not a starter).

Forwards you probably have to include one of Tatum/Horford, Griffin/Drummond, Vucevic/Gordon. Butler and Middleton as well should be locks.

So let's say they take all three guards, that leaves 2 forwards (assuming Middleton and Butler get in).

Maybe Boston just has Kyrie since they're pretty mediocre so far this year (their schedule gets much easier though). Griffin will/should definitely get in.

If Orlando is still a playoff threat I would assume Vucevic would get a nod. But it will come down to Vucevic and Siakam in my opinion. Or he has no chance if the coaches take Horford or Tatum.

3 Raptors have a chance. 4 seems very unlikely.

We had the best team last year and only got 2 guys (and one was a starter).. so I just assume we'd have 2 again.

Yeah Siakam won't make it just like Ben Simmons didn't make it last years.

Look I will be honest I had bad memories of Luis Scola starting and didn't really like Pascal starting his rookie year and thought he was going to be a raw energy guy who takes as much off the table with his skills gaps as he puts on it with his hustle but this year he's so much fun to watch I'm sorry Pascal

Is it possible Pascal could ever become a superstar in this league? Maybe within 1-2 years or so? What do you all think, given his rapid development so far? I see his development as almost "Giannis like" (without being the same guy as Giannis, obviously, largely due to him simply being a smaller dude)

Don't know about superstar, but I can conceive of a DeMar like climb to improved efficiency every year fro the next 3 or 4 years. Even a three % improvement in overall play each year has him sniffing all-stars status in a couple of years and being a solid all star in three.

On aside note, hard to believe the second last post on this thread was from over two weeks ago. Pascal deserves more comments than that

Agree with Puffer. His improvement has been faster than I've seen with any other player I can think of. This is certainly due in part to his very late start in the sport and also to his gifts; which include the capacity to work hard. Very likeable guy too. Chris Boucher is another guy with a late start who might develop more than people think given his "advanced age".

Pascal needs a jumpshot in order to reach superstar status, and an even tighter handle.

I'm still a bit skeptical about Pascal as it pertains to handing him a big contract. He fits in really well right now, but if Kawhi walks then teams can start paying more attention to him. His skills are...rudimentary still and he doesn't have a particularly high basketball IQ or great defensive awareness. When to the Raptors have to make him an offer by?
