bruh Celtics ran out of luck HARD
Can't beat the luck of the Irish and just in time for St. Patty's Day. And they should have known that Kyrie gets injured every year when they traded for him.

Yeah, holy smokes. Smart, Theis, obviously Hayward right from the start, and now Kyrie might miss some time?
Damn, everything is falling apart for them. As long as Irving is there they should be able to get out of the first round, but I don't see how they're getting any further now

        • The NewLooks as a team again looked pretty ordinary last night in LaLa land. Lebron did not play the usual 40 minutes last night as the Lonzo's pretty much put it away before the end of the 3rd. James put up 24 points... 10 boards... 7 helpers in 30 minutes.... still a tremendous night but whats becoming apparent is that even with tremendous nights the NewLooks are ordinary.

The old saying is that you are what your record says you are .. and the NewLooks are a 500 team since the trade and have a bottom quartile defence. Still with the same lemming like mentality the MSM showed in calling for a massive Clinton win despite all the signs to the contrary the bleat from Bristol remains on message. Lebron will turn it on. Love will make the difference. The Cavs are the team to beat. I guess stupid is as stupid does.

At some point the Cavs will rest Lebron for the playoffs as they can't think playing him 40 minutes a night is a good thing late in an 82 game season. The NewLooks have 3 games left on this roadie... tomorrow against the Suns.... later in the week against the Blazers ... and they close up with a game in Chicago. Waiting for them at home is Milwaukee and the Raps. I think they go 2 and 3 in that stretch. Then comes the decision to rest Lebron or not and likely playing for seeding on who they face. The NewLooks will finish 5 or 6 and will be looking to play the Hinkies instead of the Wizards in the first round.

The Chowderheads are likely going to spot Irving for the rest of the season... a couple days off.. a game ... a few more days off and a couple games.. then more days off. They aren't going higher than 2nd and without him at 100% don't have an offence. Smart looks to have hurt the same hand/thumb he hurt while punching a defenseless picture in his hotel room. This guy redefines dumbass but he really helps that team. With Smarts availability up in the air Boston will limp to the finish line and quite possibly beyond.

The Hinkies have a pretty steady diet of tankers to the end of the year. 12 of their last 17 are sub 500 teams and some of those teams are mailing it in.... The Hinkies I think for sure get to 4 and if they can figure out how to close games better than they have to this point they can get to 3.

The Whiz have been scuffling a bit since they played the Raps and lost. Their sched isn't as kind as the Hinkies are getting as they have more teams over 500 than under. But these guys are pretty good. Wall should be back by the end of the month. The Whiz will challenge for 3rd and have enough to get there. They start this march to 3rd with wins this week over a stumbling Timberpup squad...the MASH unit that is now the Chowderheads and a game at home against the Pacers who have beaten all expectations this year.

Indy is the surprise team of the year. An outstanding job by Nate McMillan to take what was a foregone conclusion as a team that was going to have a very high lottery pick and turn it into a playoff team who could open at home. It will be tough. 8 of their next 10 are against playoff teams and 6 of those 10 are on the road. Indy does well to go 4and 6.. They need some luck to finish higher than 6 but you never know. Their fate may be determined by outside factors such as who the NewLooks want to see in round 1 and if Lebron is going to be rested down the stretch. Think the NewLooks would like to play the rookie laden never been to the playoffs turnover prone Hinkies....

The Bucks and Heat duke it out for 7 and 8. The Bucks have a balanced schedule of 8 teams above 500 and 7 below. Delly is due back shortly and Brogdon will be back in April. The Heat play more games against sub 500 teams than they do on teams who have winning records. This race could come down to the last game of the year ... and the Raps face the Heat in that game. If thats the case... be interesting to see what the Raps do.

So its still early to call 3 through 8 but FWIW here is the best guess from the Decision Desk on final standings....

          1. Raps
          2. Chowderheads
          3. Hinkies
          4. Whizzards
          5. Indy
          6. NewLooks
          7. Bucks
          8. Heat.

              • Strangely uninteresting night in the NBA. Miami/Portland should be interesting but that's about it. Not sure what we can learn from the Bucks beating the Bizzaro Rockets.

                • Watching a bit of the Rockets / Spurs game - Spurs offense is struggling , but their defense isn't particularly impressive either

If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

Looks like more buzz & excitement in New York for the Raps then the two local teams. But shhh don't tell ESPN that cause they pretend like we don't exist and instead decide to have 4 different discussions centred around Lebron James.
