    • Just wondering.....if Lebron ended up going to Philly would he then be the most hated player in the league? More than KD? I obviously really enjoy the NBA or wouldn't waste so much time noodling around on this site but the phenomenon of the "ring seeking star" is just revolting and somewhat ruins the league. Fortunately it doesn't always work out for them and things have generally remained competitive. Houston has created a great team with smart trades and imaginative coaching. The Raptors are doing it with a build from the inside model. But if Lebron went to Philly they would very likely win at least the east for 2-3 years which might frustrate a run of very good Raptor teams.

      • Going to Philly would be really smart on LeBron's part to be honest. He gets to play with two young future superstars. Could really help him extend his career the way Kareem getting Magic and Worthy extended his (while still being the leading scorer on the Lakers until his late 30s).

A lineup of Simmons-RoCo-LeBron-Saric-Embiid is just scary. LeBron's the shortest player in that lineup at 6'8 and they can basically switch everything defensively and have a guy who's going to be the best anchor in the league (if he isn't already) in Embiid. Would be really tough to beat.

They also don't really need to get creative to open up the cap room (dumping Bayless' 8M expiring would do it) and have a ton of picks to continually improve the team and add depth with.

Good God it'd be annoying if Colangelo got LeBron and then beat us on the way to a title.

You're right and that is a scary lineup. Hopefully colangelo finds a way to f it up. Maybe he blows his cap space on July 1st on some Italian player before Lebron makes his intentions known.

            • Boston in Houston tonight. Rockets are 8.5 point favourites.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

Bucks lose to Indiana, and they've now lost four straight after beating us.

Meanwhile Detroit loses to Orlando...I'm not sure how much longer that sliver of hope will last
We must have taken a round out of the Bucks as they have staggered since then eh?

Detroit’s in Miami tonite...if they lose that one....They’re on the morphine drip.
There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

                      • Helluva performance by both teams last. A big time heavyweight bout between the two best teams in the East. Don’t be taken in by the hucksters at the All Lebron Sports Network in Bristol. The Cavs right now are not going to take out the Wiz.

They have a very competent big man in Gortat....The once malcontent Markieff Morris now that he’s out of Phoenix plays like an above average stretch 4. Phoenix..destroying players since 2013 but that’s another rant in a separate post. Otto fuckin Porter is very very good now that he sees the ball as a second option. Inside..drives the lane and hits the money ball. Bradley the csucker Beal is a lights out shooter and can get inside.Tomas Satoransky is a revelation at the point..dude can shoot and get the ball up the court. Kelly Oubre is a player. The collection of spare parts and Lebron won’t beat these guys. Gone is the showboating ..they play a team game and keep coming. John Wall will adapt to this style.

Gortat is better than Thompson. Morris is better than NanceJr. Beal is light years better than Smith or Clarkson. Satoransky is equal to Hill and when Wall is back he is way better than George. Lebron who is better than everyone is better than Porter.

If the whiz get to the 3 slot..and I think they do....This is the team the Raps see in the finals.

Going to have get some Wiz hate ready..but only after they crush and powder the Chowderheads in the semis if the Chowdas get out of the first round.....Fuck Boston

                        • I was just perusing the FiveThirtyEight site. They have the Raptors predicted with a 55% chance of making the finals; highest of any team. They even give us a 15% chance of winning! But if you want a good chuckle look at the CARMELO player projections which were done last October. They show all of our bench mob guys as complete scrubs with essentially no value in the future. Poeltl is predicted to be about as good as Robin Lopez (who isn't horrible I guess) or a bunch of other guys I hardly remember. FVV is projected to be worth a bag of practice balls. Maybe they'll be right.....or maybe there are intangibles their system doesn't consider.

Very insightful I think. Them or Philly but the Wiz have much more experience. We can beat either one but not easily.
