Wizards beating the Cavs isn't a good thing.

We need the Cavs to stay in 3rd. Now Washington is only a 1/2 game back of them. If they finish 4th that drops them into our 2nd round bracket which makes our path to the finals tougher. I'd rather play them after they've played two series than just one.
I just care about cavs showing they're struggling. Seeding means nothing if cavs are rolling

No secondary scorer or ball handler outside of LeBron. If we face them in the 2nd round, so be it

      • The Cavs ARE NOT as good as they were last year and we have improvements. I think we can defend Lebron better than the Wiz did last night, and then no one else on that team scares me. I think serge and OG can slow him down a tiny bit, and the rest can be shut down completely

        • Reallly great read on why the Raptors are the most formidable eastern playoff challenger to LeBron in a very long time.

Nice find Z. The writer has done a great job looking at some significant stats. The suggestion to drop Siakim's and Norm's three point shot attempts out of the team totals (as would likely happen in the playoffs) was a revelation. Without their attempts, the Raptors would be sixth in the NBA at 37%. That is huge.

            • Quite a few games in the East taht matter for playoff seeding tonight....

Indy gets Altlanta at home... Indy should take this one and they get a steady diet of Tankers this week with Dallas and Atlanta again. If they take these 3 starting tonight with Atlanta Indy will have 36 wins with 20 games to go. Playing 500 ball gets them to 46 or 47 wins which pretty much punches their ticket to the post season. They know this too. Atlanta is busy wondering who to buy out and what draft slot they can sink to. Indy W.

Chowderheads travel to Motown. Stans guys need this game to start putting pressure on the Heat for 8th. Their SOS is not bad but Miamis is even better. To put pressure on the Heat the the men from the motor city need to come out with purpose starting now. The Chowders have been able to rest a tiring Tatum but are still without Smart who steadies their steadily declining defense. Other than rest for Irving who has been playing a lot and is a little nicked up in his knee not much has changed for the Chowders who struggle to score. Their late game offence is Kyrie save us. In a toss up go with home court and the more desperate team .... PIstons W.

The Heat travel to the Big Easy to take on a team thats trying hard to keep their ticket to the dance in the west valid. Both are desperate teams. The Heat play harder and have an edge in the backcourt with Dragic over Holiday. The 10 guys with less than 2% body fat run hard all night and score just enough to beat the unibrow at home .Heat W on the road.

Its a back to back for the Wiz .. but its Charlotte and the Whizzers are at home. Still the Wiz are as inconsistent a team as it gets. If the Hornets harbour even the faintest of hopes of making a run to the playoffs it has to start now. The Buzz have the second best SOS left and have to take games they haven't done so far this year. They are 5 games back in the loss column and this is game they have to take to keep the dream going. UPSET ALERT. The Kemba's win a close one against the Whiz who true to form on consistency somehow cough this one up. Hornets W.

The NewLooks travel to Memphis on a back to back. They will be tired but looking to make amends for kaaking one up against the Whiz at home. Memphis has nothing to play for. In a closer game than you'd think the NewLooks chalk up a win. The hype train reloads and the ensemble cast of hacks and flacks at ESPN and TNT keep the chant going that the Cavs are the team to beat. Cavs W.

EDIT.... One of the best stories out there is the charge the Jazz are putting on to get to the playoffs. They get Portland tonight... a team that is as capable of losing 5 in a row as they are winning 5 in a row if their two guards are making or missing. They get the Blazers tonight at home .. a win tonight for the Jazz and a Pelicans loss puts them a half game out of the last spot.... Think the Jazz make it a dozen straight....

There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

It's truly pathetic how desperate they are to not even acknowledge Toronto. Whatever, if they will not listen, we will make them hear.

Where is this ESPN hype for the Wiz?

Scrolling down, I see Rockets, Thunder, Lakers of course, Warriors.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

What’s the timeline for that? Will he be back for the playoffs?

                            It depends.

EDIT: From 6 weeks to 6 months.
