  • LaVar Ball plans to start league for high school graduates

Say what you want about Lavar Ball, but this is absolutely brilliant, if he can pull it off....

If he can get a few high powered sports agencies and/or some venture capital behind him, the idea will take off.

G-League has NBA backing and it sucks. Lavar expects to do better and pay players $10k a month? I'll believe it when I see it...

salaries aren't a big problem compared to how much it will cost to play in "NBA arenas in LA, Dallas, Brooklyn and Atlanta", travel around the country and pay all the other staff.

but he has a logo, so it's a good start to a business. :P

he knows how to get into news.

However the US manages to pull college sports away from the post-secondary system, they should do it. $2k-$3k per seat tickets are available for the championship bowl next week. It's insane. Junior leagues and club systems work fine for other sports in other countries, I think eventually the US figures it out and who knows if LaVar Ball isn't one of the catalysts.
