  • Howard's game was always going to age badly. He never improved anything.

Howard traded again? lmao. This becoming a yearly thing now.

He was in such a great spot with the Magic and then all of a sudden he asked for a trade lol. Bet you he regrets that decision now. That decision might even cost him a spot in the HOF. His career just spiralled downward like crazy after that trade.
Mozgov and two second rounders. That says it all about Dwight Howard.

        Dwight wanted to be Shaq

Career went opposite of when Shaq left magic lol

I think that says more about the Hornets than Dwight.

          • The Kawai issue, is starting to me remind of the Vince Carter situation......a superstar player, coming off an injury plagued season and wanting out of town. It'll be interesting to see if the Spurs do better than the bag of donuts that the Raptors got.

As for the Dwight thing, he is the classic example of a player where the 'Grass isn't always greener' he had the potential to go down as one of the greatest centers in NBA History and despite the last 2 years his career stats are impressive 17pts, 13brds, 2blks a game.

Carter did it in the dog days of summer and then tanked games. This is a little different. Plus the Spurs aren't incompetent.

                • No matter what you think of Kawhi's motivations, as soon as the Spurs stopped stating with certainty that Kawhi was injured, it lit the whole thing up into outer space. Any chance they could have possibly had at repairing that relationship was ruined as soon as they hung him out to dry like that.

Keon, you seem to think the Spurs are faultless in the whole thing, and Kawhi just started making stuff up so he had an exit plan. Then why didn't he just request a trade with the understanding that he would leave in free agency instead of starting this whole injury firestorm?
That is a normal collar. Move on, find a new slant.

                  • Question, is Howard a hall of famer?

Chris Webber isn't in thr HOF(yet) and he's so much better than Howard.

A bit Vince-like in terms of piles of athletic potential early in his career not being fulfilled in the end, Vince though managed the second phase of his career a lot better and is a respected veteran contributor, Dwight's just a joke.

                      • Raptors send: Kyle Lowry, Norman Powell
Raptors get: George Hill, Larry Nance Jr, Cedi Osman, and 8th pick

Raptors send: Jonas Valanciunas, CJ Miles
Raptors get: Otto Porter, Jodie Meeks

                        Our Roster Becomes
                        GHill/Delon
                        DeRozan/Meeks
                        Porter/OG/Cedi
                        Nance Jr/Siakam/
                        8th pick/Ibaka/Poeltl
                        - 8th pick = Mohammad Bamba (or we can package the 8th pick + player trade down to Clippers for 12th and 13th pick)
                        - We can still make to the playoff while Lowry gets a chance to make LeBron stay so perhaps Lowry can finally get a championship for playing with the King.

This was post 999 for tenforthewin. I hope trade proposal 1000 is a real doozy. I'm awaiting with baited breath.

It's dicey. I mean Ben Wallace isn't in there.

Its been reported this past week that the Cavs view Nance as a key piece they're building their future with.
