          • I don't think you trade Ben Simmons for Kawhi straight up. Spurs would need to throw something in.
That is a normal collar. Move on, find a new slant.

I don't think teams are that impressed with this years draft. Probably think there's value in acquiring future high picks and trading back.

                • I don't know Keon - it's trading what could be a dynasty for basically a 2-3 year window for championships running up against a Golden State machine. Philly's in such a good situation that getting Lebron and having to trade away one of their All Star young players to do it is almost a downgrade overall.

Having said that, Im not saying that Simmons wont end up being a better player than Kawhi NOW
But he is not even close to that yet.

Well, it's not so much that Simmons is better than Kawhi at present, it's that you're dealing with two unknowns - 1. Kawhi's injury, and 2. Kawhi's contract situation

Plus Simmons is considerably younger so he gives you a bigger window for when you have a superstar.

I'd have a hard time with it, especially if Dallas is open to moving their pick too, as a Matthews/5 deal seems better than a Parsons/4 deal.
Assuming that that deal (Dallas) is on the table.

I agree with you 100% but if that (Kawhi for Simmons) is holding James signing what do you do?
Btw its a retorical question, remember James insisted on Wiggins and another No 1 (lets nor talk about that one) for Love.

No offence but if you are not an NBA GM, what do you do for living?
