I don't get the appeal of Frye. He is a completely one dimensional player. Terrible inside player on both ends. Tissue paper soft. Bad defensively. Zero positonal versatility as he's slow. He just shoots 3s. I don't want him getting any minutes at all over JV or Poeltl.

Is it just about insurance? Because we need that more at the forward spots. Hence the appeal of guys like Vince or Ersan. And if you think we need shooting we still need that more at the wing or forward spots than at C.

With a buyout candidate you have to look at available minutes. A guy is not going to come here just to ride the pine. IMO the 4 is our position that we could improve the most. We have great depth at the other positions.

I don’t love the idea of Frye either.

Bellinelli is probably the best shooting specialist of the bunch. Maybe that's the way to go?

Are you sure about that? Any contender (which is where many of these guys land) isn't going to have a lot of minutes available.

Marco is putting up 5 3’s a game and makes 2 on average...from what I remember he can probably spell defense but not much else....he averages 1 rebound every 10 minutes he is on the floor...he will be 32 in March...he will take minutes from norm as a wing off the bench who can shoot the 3....

ISO Joe is putting up 3 3’s a game making under 1 on average... he is pretty slow on defense but is a wide body inside and a clear liability on switches on the perimeter due his turtle like speed...he does grab 1 rebound every 7 minutes... he 36 years old but has a reputation of being able to get a basket when you need one late in the game...but that was a couple years ago and Father Time is not giving anyone reprieves..

Ersan is putting up 3.5 3’s a game and makes 1 on average......he averages 1 rebound every 5 minutes he is on the floor...he will be 31 in May ..he will take minutes from siakam as a big off the bench who can shoot the 3 better than pascal but he just can’t run the floor at all or be a threat in transition......have no idea if he can play D anymore...

Do nothing...yep..nuthin......watch the rest reach for something and go with what you got..which so far is pretty damn good...

                  So..who do you want
Actually I might rather have McKinnie......or Richardson. Lets keep up the speed and energy.

The only problem with Belinelli is position. He is a backcourt player where we have plenty of options. We could really use an extra body in the frontcourt. OG is basically our only wing with size. Miles isn't that big or physical. Norm is pretty tough but too undersized.

I don't know where Marco gets the minutes and if he does over one of our other guards, that might make us worse.

Yeah if anything we should only do guys capable of playing the 4 in selects spurts

I'm imagining a bench unit of fred and Delon, cj, Vince and a big

Yeah, I lean toward Carter for a couple of reasons.

First, we are still relying on OG a lot, and he's a rookie. He's also our biggest wing, so yeah, I want a body with some size/muscle on him in case OG struggles down the stretch and in the playoffs.

Second, I fucking hate Joe Johnson, who is the other obvious candidate.

First Perkins now diaw. It reminds me of the royal rumble when you get old school wrestlers making suprise appearances

Speaking of the Rumble, I went crazy when we saw The Hurricane this year. Absolutely love myself some Shane Helms, no matter what gimmick.

As for who I'd want, if he's gone..... bring in Killyasova, Masai.

Its hard to say...but will go with dodging a bullet if the Raps just put up the no solicitors allowed sign for any and all free agents via the buyout pool...

Masai likes his team... Casey likes his rotations..... The players to a man seem to all like being here and playing the minutes they get..... winning of course stops all clubhouse lawyers and bitching.... and they are winning... big

ISO Joe might have helped .. the traditional unflappable playoff veteran presence... but by now thats Kyle and Demar and Serge and JVs roles....Signing Joe would probably take away the playoff pressure development time minutes from the talented but scufflling Norman Powell....Norm performed well in last years playoffs... have to think thats more the norm than not..

So yeah... Ujri might do something.. but there is no .45 calibre pressed up against his left ear to do it......Houston is trying to load up for GSW with every possible contingency.... Good for them and good for us dodging the bullet.....
There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.
