  • Game #63: Atlanta Hawks 90 - Toronto Raptors 106

    Expected starters:

    Hawks:
    D. Schroder
    K. Bazemore
    T. Waller-Prince
    J. Collins
    D. Dedmon

    Raptors:
    Kyle Lowry
    DeMar DeRozan
    Malcolm Miller?
    Serge Ibaka
    Jonas Valanciunas

Toronto is 4th in ORTG and 3rd in DRTG. They sit 1st in the East, 2 games up on Boston, with 2 games in hand.

Atlanta is 25th in ORTG and 22nd in DRTG, thoroughly terrible. They sit 15th in the East.

This is the end of a short two game home stand for the Raptors, who head to Detroit for a game on Wednesday, then host the Rockets on Friday.

Atlanta won vs the suns, a game in which both teams were trying to lose.
Therefore they will be angry and come out extra terrible against the raps.

Do Raptors games in Detroit count as home games or away games? Sometimes hard to tell the difference

Taurean Prince tried to miss, but hit a clutch 3 instead.

Casey in his presser said " OG has a bone bruise - no timeline for returning" so its more serious then a grade 1 ankle sprain in assuming.

I wish we were allowed to just bring Brown, Mckinnie, Miller and the new Malachi guy, plus give lots of time to Norm and Bebe on this one, and let the starters sit it out. I'd say let Norm out there on this one for 36+ min, to really build his confidence and game rhythm.

I suppose the league would frown upon that as people buying seats would want to see the full roster, but I mean, it's like bringing a bazooka to a slingshot target practice here (I mean no disrespect to the Hawks, if they actually came down with their best effort against us it would be fun, but they might be actually aiming for the L here). I guess now I can understand firsthand CLE, GSW and SAS's point in years past with the rest thing.

Atlanta is trying their hardest to tank.. but they still have guys that can score on you. So don't let go of that gas pedal until at least the 4th quarter.

I know this is tongue in cheek, but players never ever try to lose. It's the same untalented but scrappy hawks we've played twice already

The East's longest playoff streak? That feels wrong
