The biggest free agents we've ever signed is the corpse of hakeem olajuwan, the remnants of demarre Carroll and the shell of hedo turkoglu. All were very overpaid. In 23 seasons, let that sink In. Now we're talking about arguably the GOAT in his last few swings at the plate.

Man that Houston win really made us stand taller eh
So what if the Raps make the Finals and lose to Golden State in 7 games? Doesn't that make 'Bron think twice? He has to tradeoff rings vs. salary vs. branding opportunities. If he wants rings, then it makes it a tougher call, no? And if LBJ matches Jordan in rings, I think the long-term earnings for his brand are probably greater when he leaves the game.

So now we're talking about the team he regularly smacked around, beating him in the playoffs and becoming the most likely team to win other than golden State, and he joins them? Basically does the Durant thing 2 years later, except he tucks his tail and comes to Canada, to try and "fit in" where all of a sudden he needs us more than we need him.

For a guy who's meticulously controlled his narrative since the original decision, let's call it..doubtful.

So if Golden State losses to Raptors in the Finals will Durant want to come play for us now .
