PJ/Ibaka was not an either/or - Tucker went to Houston for less money, he wanted to play there. Only thing he would have done in Toronto this year would be take minutes from OG.
That was an incredible Chris Paul game. He and Harden getting switches then taking turns going ISO is hilarious. Raps just figured out how to pass a basketball and these teams have already moved on.
*Edit: Can just picture Demar and Casey watching these games and screaming "I knew it!!!" at the TV after every ISO basket."We're playing in a building." -- Kawhi Leonard

Can't understate how much Curry and Harden have worked on their defensive games during their NBA careers vs. how much DeRozan has ignored his. Harden now vs. 3-4 years ago is no comparison, guy gets down in his stance and tries every possession. Still the weakest defensive link, but he doesn't give up anything easy.Last edited by S.R.; Wed May 23, 2018, 10:54 AM."We're playing in a building." -- Kawhi Leonard

S.R. wrote: View PostThe games-within-the-game at this level are a lot of fun. Houston gets the switch of Curry defending either Paul or Harden and they clear out and attack him all game long. Same goes for if they get any of the young Iggy fill-ins or a substitute big. GSW does the same going at Harden or if they can get Paul on Durant. Relentless. Having great iso players makes it work but also going at the weak links all game long makes it work - otherwise iso is more work for the offence than the defence, which is never good, but if you're attacking the other team's best player all game long one-on-one with a great offensive player - that shows up by the 4th quarter when Curry starts missing open 3's.

Houston did a good job overall defensively last night. If it wasn't for some of those ridiculous threes Curry hit in the third quarter, that game would have been a blowout. I haven't had a chance to watch closely enough but in the fourth quarter, at least, Houston did a great job turning the Warriors into a one-on-one, stagnant, jump shooting team while the Rockets got everything they wanted on offense, spreading the floor and forcing the Ws to defend in space without help.
