Not gonna lie.. Im having second thoughts about firing him. He has flaws, like many coaches, but this team is still very young -- OG, Jakob, Delon, Pascal, Vanvleet, etc.

It really was our "superstars' who failed again and again -- the new coach needs a miracle to get Demar going in the playoffs - Kyle at least somewhat was better this playoffs then previous (Maybe cause of more rest this year) and bench mob was amazing for a big chunk of the year.

But what do you do when you have a guy who plays an old school style of basketball (Derozan) -- he is the guy that really needs to go .. his style doesnt work anymore, especially with this team. Tho he did improve passing the rock this year, he still went back to his old friend when he needed him - ISO.

Demar wants to be shown on the level of Lebron and Curry and those guys and he just isnt -- hes a very good player, but it's clear he has lots of flaws and isnt at the elite level of those guys -- he just isnt.

We wont win with DeRozan -- trade him and get the young guys involved -- we have a talented team, as evident in game 3 when we took a 22 pt deficit and tied it...without Derozan for much of it.

Anyways... good luck to Casey - he seemed like a class act, his team was a little soft and cost him his job...
When having second thoughts just remember he deflected responsibility from playing Bebe in game 4, he drew up a play for Fred to receive an inbounds pass in the backcourt with 5 seconds on the shot clock, he had Miles guarding LeBron and Love for periods of time throughout the series, he told reporters that he instructed his team to trap LeBron at the end of game 3, which OG denied, etc. He might not have been the primary reason for the end result, but had he not made some really baffling decisions, our fate may have been at least slightly different. He did a good job to get the franchise to where it is today. It's clear that he could not go any further.

Awww, Case. Don't do this to us, man. That last line is a killer.

Everyone knows I'm not a big Casey guy, but Masai messed this one up, for sure. Casey deserved a better ending than this. You simply don't fire a coach immediately after winning 59 games. You just don't.

I have not weighed in on Casey’s firing but this was a no brainer IMO. Ujiri had an expectation set before this post season that was not met by Casey. Playoffs success and how they fared against the Cavs were the measuring stick for Masai.

Giving kudos to Casey for all the years should be warranted. He definitely is a class act.

Moving forward, firing Casey is not just enough. Ujiri has to find a way in getting rid of the other head of this playoff off dud dragon. Derozan has to be traded. Another no brainer for Masai if he wanted this team to evolve further.
