I think he could be a good coach, but it's way too big of a gamble. Masai is a very conservative GM that will most likely try to get someone more seasoned. If Kenny wants to really make it as coach, I think he should grind it out and prove himself by taking a lower-tiered team to the playoffs first, for example, rather than just soft landing on a winning team.

Im not sure Id put Casey as a top 3 coach, just my opinion.

I didn't call him a top 3 coach, I called him a top 3 "floor" coach. Basically what I meant was that Casey was one of the top 3 coaches in the league of raising the floor of your team given it's talent level. Even that might be underrating him, as the Raptors are consistently the best team in the league at not losing by 10+ points in games.

The problem with a team with a high floor is that usually the ceiling is more important than the floor come playoff time.

Anyone find it odd that there hasn't been much chatter about Stack to Detroit? Unless I've missed it.

Stack was always a bit of a longshot to get a head coaching gig this year. Yes, he's done great work down in the D-League, but the usual next step after that is to become a head assistant coach in the NBA - like Nick Nurse did. None of this means that Detroit or somebody else won't ultimately decide to hire Stack, because teams take chances on guys all the time, but the odds of him getting a head coaching gig weren't as good as people here thought they were.
